money dominates the world...not just football...but yes...a way of making it a far more even playing field has to be discovered...
guess its gr8 if its your team that becomes sugar daddy fc...thou if it were to happen to spurs...id be ever fearful of what happens when said sugar daddy has enough of his latest 'toy'.....
To be fair if and it's a big if, us and Newcastle make the CL then the big four will be no more. Although city will still have done by bedding the devil.
That's why Liverpool are considered to be the greatest team of all time.
United have been the richest club in the world during the Beckham / spice age.
It's provided them with a safety net.
The money in today's game means that the teams at the top will probably remain competitive forever
Spurs will never win the league, it's so unfair
Couldn't agree more with Thomas Newton though, football is no longer a sport it's a business
The fans today do not realise the power they have if they all got together, Who would want to watch prem football if there were no fans in the stadium
Bubbles..
where in my article did i mention Tottenham ..
Bubbles as far as I'm concerned you've only won the league once, have couple if FA cups and a cup winners cup I think it was.

It's not even just in English football. Look at European competitions.
Will we ever see a Steau Bucharest or IFK Gothenburg win European competitions again? Probably not.
Football depresses me these days
Football doesn't need fans though, it's not like the old days.
Plus football is different to a normal business. Fans will keep going no matter how bad the product is. For some people, football is the be all and end all. I mean... What else is their to do on a Saturday Afternoon?

Bubbles.. football does not need fans has to be one of the dumbest comments i have ever heard .

That's why Liverpool are considered to be the greatest team of all time.

No they're not
I can only speak from a Scottish football perspective, but the fact we've only had 2 teams win the league in the last 25 years has seen attendances at all the other clubs dwindle. This puts financial pressure on the remaining clubs as they can't get punters through the door.
Aberdeen, a big club with a huge catchment area for supporters (and without a main rival in that area) only got 5,000 through the gate on Wednesday for a match against Hibs (another big club). They would expect at least double that normally.
Obviously we're on a much smaller scale, but eventually the same kind of deterioration will happen in England as the ability to compete diminishes.
Ivan...........
I remember watching Aberdeen win the european cup its crazy they now get 5000 for a home game

No offence mate but what you may think is irrelevant, just as what I think is irrelevant, the fact remains that we have won 17 major trophies.
The media have done well to convince football fans that Chelsea and City are the first and only clubs to buy success and that Man Utd and others haven't but that couldn't be further from the truth.
It's going on in all divisions and has been for years.
Fleetwood accepted a 750k bid for their star player, that could buy 6 or 7 clubs in that league alone. Crawley were playing non-league and had players on League 1 wages. I'd argue what those clubs spend is far more disproportionate to what City spend or what United and Chelsea have spent in the past.
Everybody bangs on about Barcelona and their academy but conveniently forget they are grossly in debt have a wage bill 4/5 times higher than the average team in that division. Madrid are bankrolled by the Spanish government so when ever they report losses, it's covered for by them.
For me that is far more tantamount to buying success than anything Chelsea or City have ever done. It's the only way you can compete with the elite who have been continually subsidised by Sky/UEFA/Sponsorship money

It doesn't though, fans are irrelevant. By fans I'm talking about the real fans not the corporates and businessmen.
If I don't go to another game at Stamford Bridge, it makes no difference as there will be plenty able to take my seat. Its much different for local teams that a part of a community I.e Hayes and Yeading. A decline in attendance for those clubs could see them go under
The FFP rules will actually preserve the status quo, keeping the rich clubs at the top and making it hard for other clubs to break into that elite.
