Pearce for Captain?

Great shout.

Personally I always would favour a Centre half as captain. I think they have a great view of the game and are normally leaders by definition, big and strong.

Make Pearce captain

Peace, thought we had signed pearce.

Its one that could help make Snodders mind up!..

He's happy as captain, and saying we don't know if he'll be with us, he's a year to go and if Warnock does what Grayson did with Beckford then the next trouble may start, Warnock saying to Bates I want to run his contract down and Bates wanting the money!..

Would that turn into one of the "back me" things that we're all not to sure off?..

Pesonally I'm not bothered who captain is aslong as its not the keeper, but want Snodders to stay, and while he's talking to family over his future we shouldn't say to much to make him feel unwelcome!.

Snoddy is passionate and leads by example. He's a different kind of captain. I'd rather keep him happy as he wants the captaincy, removing it will make his decision easier.

Call me old fashioned, but, really like the fact that
NW gave him the number 5 shirt. Fed up of seeing
squad numbers up in the 30s and 40s.

Solid centre half. Young. Hungry, Sticks his head in. Consistent. Been Captain at previous clubs. Make him Captain I say. It'll be nice to have a number 5 on the
field that we can rely on and build the defence around.

Don't worry Snoddy, you can still be a Leeds legend
without the armband, it might actually do you a favour.

Snoddy's more likely to leave if you remove the thing he pestered Grayson for for ages.

You might well be right Anti.

I personally hope Pearce gets the armband and that
Snoddy stays and realizes this will free him up to
just play.

I'll go for that. Attacking players don't make great captains.

Pompey fans reckon Pearce is a very good organizer
and leader from the back. Perfect armband material.

We all moaned for Snoddy to be made captain and we knew he was an attacking player then so to say attacking players don't make good captains, well we should of thought about that before, changing captain too often effects morale.

Anti, at the time, there wasn't a better candidate.
Which speaks more to our sh * te squad than Snoddy's
credentials. Plus, even if fans moan all day long, it's still the manager who picks the Captain, not us. Snoddy is a great leader. Maybe though, Pearce is
a better Captain? Ultimately, having two leaders in
Snoddy and Pearce, on the pitch at the same time
is great for LUFC.

'The truth is we are not 100% sure Snodgrass is staying.'

He's doing the right thing imo, he's not gonna sign until he sees ambition from the board to match his, ours & the manager's...the board hold the key, he obviously isn't motivated by cash...otherwise he'd have gone last season & the fact he hasn't signed a contract despite being made the highest earner at the club says a lot about snoddy as a man, professional footballer, he wants success obviously, but with us....

Agree harj, Snoddy's doing the right thing waiting.
He has to. There's no history of note regarding Bates' words and actions being the same. Hopefully NW
has what he needs and what Snoddy wants to see.

If snoddy is watching liverpool play then he will be thinking why am I not on more money than downing!

Frank, too true. Snoddy's better than a handful of Liverpool's team. They are a shell of their former selves.
Snoddy could easily hold his own in the Prem.
Hopefully, he hasn't realized yet and stays with us.

We shouldn't have to think about anything, we don't make these decisions.

Good job we have a manager now who makes
more right decisions than wrong. Come on Neil.
