good thing is Bent is still injured, he really is there only goal threat
Don you are not allowed to be happy, I don't like you when your happy
Love us and newcastle to finish above Arsenal..
Bubbles, go down the pub, your teams in the fa cup
You never know. Look at Norwich today, they suddenly decided that their season wasn't over. Villa might play with the same attitude.

With McLeish? Don't make me laugh. He sends his team out every game with the intention of defending the respectable 1-0 defeat.

Me too but as long as we finish 3rd and chelsea don't win the champs league I don't care who gets 4th
Im really looking forward to tomorrows game, as Fatty said, if either Spurs or Arsenal didnt get the 6points from the last two games neither deserve to be where they are - and good luck to Newcastle
...And being Spurs you just know that Villa are there for the taking, we are better in every department so should lose 1-0 to a sloppy defended free kick or corner
At WHL we destroyed villa like it was a training exercise, it might not be the same this time but it still gives me hope.
Bubbles, if this makes you feel better.........if Arsenal come 4th, i don't mind if you win the CL ....i would laugh either way though

Murdered them at villa park last season with 10 men for 60 mins too. It's all about us managing the pressure - everyone will expect us to win there just as everyone thought arsenal would beat wigan

Wishful thinking!! Lambert sets his teams up to attack whilst McLeish sets his teams up to not lose.
Think this is the worst Villa outfit I have seen in the past 50+ years!! Again if we don't beat them we don't deserve !!!

Yes, but there is a real possibility of them being relegated. That alone should be enough of an incentive. Generally when Villa have had a go, they have played quite well. I must stress though that this is rare.
Lion el king, thank god we are back into form hey mate and atleast the Harry situation is sorted now

Selected fixtures tomorrow (all 2pm K.O)
Villa vs spurs
Bolton vs west brom
QPR vs stoke
News will be filtering through to the fans (and players) throughout the game, will certainly influence villa's approach. At worst they'll be 4th bottom on GD but will still be nervy for them
If anyone even thinks about wumming arsenal don't f'ing bother! We aren't home and hosed yet and after seeing out abject performances which saw us lose a 13 point lead I am scared stiffless. I'm sure we have enough for villa but Martin Jol on the last day of the season? Bricking it. We could easily mess this up. Let's at least get tomorrow out of the way.
Bristol, no one is wumming mate and neither is this article, it's been a horrible few months for us and after feeling we have completely messed up our season we have now been gifted this chance, be happy mate......
Bristol_spur,
I agree! Keeping well away from their boards, still plenty of time for us to mess this up! The thought of us blowing it, particularly if it's Martin Jol (who I love to bits and will hopefully one day be my kids godfather!) does it at the lane and gives levy a 2-fingered salute frightens the life out of me!

========================================
There's a big difference.
I've never subscribed to the myth teams have "nothing" to play for.
Norwich are a newly promoted team, their players have dreamt of playing at the likes of the Emirates, Stamford Bridge, Old Trafford etc and see it as the ultimate test for their ability. I don't care where you are in the table if you are playing Arsenal away you'll be well up for it, moreso than if you are playing Wigan at home.
Villa set out for 0-0 every game, they don't try to win games of football. The only way Villa can get something is if they draw 0-0, if Spurs score even once I'd stick a wager on them winning the game.
We could easily lose either of these upcoming games.
We could bottle it in the face of serious pressure at Villa and Jol has Fulham's midfield playing some very nice stuff again.
Just hoping that redknapp finally uses the tactical approach when needed! Can't always "go out an play", sometimes you need to get everyone behind the ball, narrow and compact, other times press high and counter early. Had he got it right against arsenal (narrow and deep) after going 2-0 up we'd be much better off!
Aslong as we play the same team at Villa we will be fine. Modric and VdV can find plenty of space if Sandro is playing "counter attack killer" and Lennon and Bale say glued to the touch line.
