Good stuff ROTLA

I predict Karlovic and Anderson.

Oh I somehow did not appreciate this yesterday. Is this not a bit of a problem? Tons of points awarded early on and much fewer in the later rounds. This could be very anti-climatic.

Anyway, I go with Davy and Anderson.

Don't worry on the amount of points awarded. Winner is always going to be the best guesser. Even if everyone gets into negative points, the points still hold good and we will have a winner.

I understand your concern, but let me clarify. The initials rounds involving both unseeded player are the most tricky to predict. Thats why the stakes are very high in those. As the tournament moves on gradually, its starts to get easier to predict, hence lower risk and hence low points at stake.

Don't worry on the points, it will become clear as we go on.

I think I understand how the points work, just did not think of a match-up between two unseeded players before.

My worry is that our game may be decided well before the tournament is done. The most important tournament matches will be the least important ones here. Not sure that is so good. Regardless, I am giving it a try and we will see how it goes.

I understand you. The current formet is only going to affect the overall tournament winner. So I'll change the way to become the overall tournament winner. It will be based on the number of correct guesses in total rather than the total points collected.

I hope this should help.

Daily winners will be points based.

Davy played some really great tennis at the end of last year, but this year not so.
I ascribe it to lack of training and form.
If Karlovic was a notch better, I'd go for him, but I think Davy will find his way to get the best of allegedly fast blue clay.
As for Anderson and Bogomolov, both are the similar level of players, although I don't remember seeing that much of Jr.
This could also be a close one, but Anderson should be able to deal with Bogggo in straights.

Last abut not the least, thanks for the Matches of the Day thread, rotla. May it prosper and bring tennis fans lots of good times here

Good. I am not sure I understand the rules of the game but I'll say Davy in 2 and Anderson in 2 as well.

Ah! in 2?

Yes, much before your comment.

Btw Tenez you haven't answered my comment on the 'Federer overtakes nadal' thread.
If you make a comment, and then fail to back it up or provide evidence, then that is poor.

Karlovic cost me 34 points

And why did Tenez get the Davydenko points? The match had finished for hours. Are we allowed to predict after the matches are finished, that's nonsense?

Relax amri, cool down. Day 1's prediction was mainly to get people to understand the game and create some interest. Only 2 matches it had. Its points may not count in the tournament end results.

No worries. The MOTD for Day2 is out. Use your 'crystal ball' if you have and predict the winners :D. I have mine, but its malfunctioning.

Lots of matches to select today. Good luck.
