That 3-5-2 could work but we would not have Lennon in that formation and also it would be a risk that might bite us in the A if we don't adapt to it.

To be honest with you I hope BAE can come back in, if not I really dont know. Would you maybe consider putting parker there? He is experienced enough... I really dont think bale at LB is a good idea!

I think Bale at LB is an excellent idea, if only we'd kept hold of Pienaar.. anyway he's probably better defensively than Rose

Well if we are worried about Lennon then put walker on the right, and if they dont adapt to 3-5-2, then those players can revert back to 4-4-2 with Bale behind Modric on the left and Kaboul behind Walker on the right. Or one sub bringing on Lennon for a CB would straighten it out.

That's a bit ambitious for Harry

Let's just say Parker will come in for Rose and he'll run about in the middle with Sandro.

Really? I really think that he is a left winger and I think that he'll develop into a top play maker eventually.

I remember when we tried to play him at LB a few years ago, he was not as clever as BAE in those tight areas which I think is very important, and is why I want Corluka back!!! I think it is going to be a problem area no matter who we put there unfortunately.

The 3-5-2 is an option but on reflection I think that what BLB says about parker for rose is the most likely outcome.

Walker Kaboul Bale
Lennon Sandro Modric Livermore Kranjcar

I could go with. Parker is too slow to protect a back three.
And if Bale played as a proper LB.

Anyway, too ambitious for Redknapp as was said.

RDB, Do you only have 1 CB in that team? or is Bale and Walker playing CB with Kaboul?

I was wondering what was going on there?

Correct.
Three speedsters to look after eachother.
And Sandro and Livermore to protect them in front.
No final third flank tracking mandated for Niko (lucky him ) .

Gallas can play there, he did for us for the bulk of our back to back title wins

Walker at left back, Kaboul at right back with Gallas and King in the middle

RDBD, that team would get raped. Thank God you're not manager.

Bale has to play at left back, for the sake of the team. If he does not, then we know that his ego has definitely blown up, and that losing him to a big fee wouldn't be the end of the world.

Whilst I dont agree with this formation, Harry will bring back Parker and play this:

Friedel
Walker Gallas Kaboul Bale
Lennon Sandro Parker Modric
Van der Vaart
Adebayor.

He should play a midfield of:

Lennon Sandro Modric Kranjcar, with Bale overlapping.

Add........................................Nice to see you keep up with developments at the Club! Townsend is on loan at Birmingham and cannot be recalled for this game!

RDBD

I have just posted and like you I think a back 3 could be the way to go on Sunday.

However I have both Walker & Bale as wingbacks with Gallas King & Kaboul as the back 3.

Lennon, Sandro, Modric & Livermore

VDV & Ade up top with VDV dropping back when necessary.
Alternatively just move Gallas to left back and bring King back in for his final game!! I think he has one more great performance in him.

If Krancjar is fit, then he could possibly play instead of Livermore!

"RDBD, that team would get raped. Thank God you're not manager."

I will revisit this when we see the starting 11 that Redknapp actually puts out (HA !!! ) .

Interesting.
But pedestrian and likely to get in eachothers' way (the CB instinct is always to occupy the middle) .
