They've been quiet for a while because of success. When we do not win, they come out of the woodwork.

wouldn't expect it to be any other way, doesn't mean they didn't have a good set of supporters who sold out a larger then normal allocation.
I don't have much of an opinion on the campaign (better the devil you know, I think - I'm not a big fan of the Glazers because of the debt, but at least they seem to provide funds when requested and don't interfere with team affairs).
But I would like to echo the OP in saying that the fans were great yesterday, especially when cheering Young in response of Swansea fans' booing.
Along with loosing the title to City
I think Fergies comment about not having the financial resources to compete will also have riled a few fans.
If we have a quiet summer and are getting thumped in the league after another summer of big City spending I think the anti Glazer campaign will come back in force.
