I agree, that is what I am trying to say, if we are hoping to get back to where we wnat to be, he is not of the standard required, squad player or not.

He's not even good enough for a squad player. The guy wouldn't start for any team in the PL. he's terrible.

If you are happy with Spearing in the team then go and watch the old boys amateur football on Saturday afternoon in Liverpool because he is no better than any of them.

Nobody. Before Lucas was injured we were sat in a decent position - 6th and 3 points from 4th. Not bad really. In fact up to mid Jan we were doing ok. We lost it since then, like Spurs did too.

Spearing isn't good enough to hold a regular place in the team but its harsh to blame him for everything that gone wrong this season.

I think he's fine in the squad to play a couple of Europa and Carling Cup games next season, give Lucas the occasional rest. But I wouldn't be particularly bothered if he decided to leave,

Cobnob, I think we will buy someone else as back up for Lucas in the summer. Or we'll play Shelvey and Henderson in the middle more. They have the energy to do a simlar job to Lucas.

I haven't blamed it all on one player, I have said he is the main issue in the team and I have explained the reason why I think this. Its because the other players don't feel happy with him in the team, and uncomfortable players never perform to the best of their ability.

Yes others are to blame and have under performed, but most are starting to show signs of improvement or potential.

I just don't think Jay will or can get any better than what he is offering now. An unbalanced team stands no chance, the defense have no faith in him so have to jump out of defense and the attack feel the same so don't push on like they should.

Nah seriously, I'm all for young players should be given a chance but he's done nothing to merit that. On Sunday, he gave the ball away and didn't even attempt to break up Chelsea's attack. It makes me worried that there's English scouts out there thinking players like him have a future to be honest. It's bad enough I'm jealous of the Spanish or German players as well.

He must be bad if Leicster don't want him I think Shelvey will come good though. I like him, probably because he scored a hatrick against dirty Leeds when he was on loan a few months back.
