Being fair he was never good enough for a regular starting place. But I agree that he should have played a bit more than he did. I can see why he wants to leave and I wish him all the best.
be more opportunities for Sterling next season if both Kuyt and Maxi end up going.
gutted about Dirk maybe going end of season, but not fussed about Maxi he is a bit like Merieles was, not consistent enough.

I do think Jay is getting a raw deal. I'm gonna ease up on him myself he is still learning and could be a useful squad player. He was more or less to blame for both goals on sat from his mistakes, but hopefully he will learn from these and improve.
If he did get moved on though it wouldnt bother me. I say get a good new DM in the summer and loan him out.

Good comparison Dirk with Park. I'd agree with you there. He's still a big game player but I feel with all the changes we've made perhaps now is the right time.
He wasn't the most skilful player but got us some important goals and was one of the few during our bleak periods last season that still played for the shirt every time he pulled it on. He was never a passenger and never hid or gave up on us. And for that he deserves a warm reception whenever he returns to Anfield.

Jones is ok for a 3rd chioce back up and i can't imagine he is on huge wages
Kenny should have a little talk with Aquilani, and try to convince him to stay at Liverpool. It seems that the big Italian sides aren't interested (Juventus and Milan), and he could do really well at Liverpool.
He has all the attributes that we lack at the moment. He can play in the deep midfield role, which we have lacked since the injuries to Lucas and Adam. He has a high technical ability, with his vision and passing.
He is the luxuary player that we lack!

Admittedly I'm a Chelsea fan and you may think I'm showing some form of bias but I'm glad one of your own has said this.
In my opinion too many people are giving Spearing an easy time of it because he's Liverpool born and bred and they'd like to see him turn into some sort of Carragher/Gerrard player but that is never going to happen. He isn't even going to materialise into a decent squad player.
As Cobnob has pointed out he's twenty four next birthday and if a player is ever going to make any sort of impact at club level you would be expecting them to have done something by now.
There isn't one team in the Premiership who would be quaking in their boots after seeing his name on the teamsheet. He is the weak link and needs to be moved on in order for your team to progress. It's all well and good being seen to try and digging in but if you can't cut the mustard you need to move on.
He played a part in both goals during the FA Cup final and for me, that speaks volumes.
As an aside, congratulations on your victory.
