Though evidently not long enough to master a keyboard.

You should see some of the typo's I have done on here recently!

The key on here is not to take things personally and if possible come back with your own retort............

I never do, been using chat rooms before the internet existed, honestly, and I know the pitfalls.

Funnily enough, even when the internet was being developed and we had these internal chat rooms, the football one was always the most lively and where peple could get upset with each other

Fair enough JFDI...................Apologies and hopefully we can carry on the banter without any nasty jibes!

Mind you, using a computer I understand you are 88% more likely to make a spelling mistake than if you were actually writing something down on paper!

Genius, I have no idea about Russian politics but I wouldn't mind betting there is no proof that Roman Abramovich is responsible for killings in Russia.

I had no idea he was into alumimium TBH - thought he was an Oil Baron!

I can believe that.

I will always treat people how I expect to be treated but am more than happy to adapt my behaviour to treat them as they treat me if required

Brummie......................................You should read up on the history of Russian Oil & Aluminium...........it is interesting reading. Abramovich started in business by selling stolen fuel to Army Colonels. Also look at the Russian Loans for Shares Scheme which was how people like Abramovich bought into Russian resources for billions less than they were worth with the aid of Boris Yeltsin (who coincidentally is now a billionaire).

Abramovich later admitted in court that he paid huge bribes (in billions) to government officials and obtained protection from gangsters to acquire these and other assets (including aluminium assets during the aluminium wars).

We have heard it all before. My repsonse to all that is if true, deal with him.

Furthermore once Abramovich emerged as top dog in the Aluminium wars, the murders of key figures within the industry stopped. There were over 100 murders of mine managers and other key figures during this time.

JFDI...........................How can we deal with him, its the Russian government that should have dealt with him. However seen as most of the upper echelons of Russia's politburo is totally corrupt, then justice is unlikely to be seen to be done is it?

I suppose that is why Abramovich has 4 yachts, several helicopters & private jets, which all depart from various points at exactly the same time. If an attempt is made on his life, guesswork needs to be accurate!

Genius, you have to go to these countries to understand how they work.
What is unaceptable in our country can be a perfectly acceptable way of doing things in other countries, yet we judge them by our standards.
I've been to Eastern Russia and backhanders are a way of life.

In Afghanistan, I couldn't believe the level corruption there, but it's the way they do business and no one bats an eyelid over it.
I still doubt there is any direct evidence that RA has actually sanctioned murders!

Russians have sued him in many other countries including England, whilst they might not be able to punish him in the way you feel he deserves it would be a start and if they proved what you claim then the Russian government could not ignore it. Abramovich has money assets and interests in many countries that could be stripped or frozen and if exposed for the crrok that you claim him to be then it would be difficult for the Russian government to protect him.

JFDI..........................The main problem I think is that Abramovich was not doing all this on his own. There were some very influential people aiding and abetting, including Boris Yeltsin and other leading politburo members and chasing Abramovich could open Pandora's Box..........................

Brummie...................................I have been to Russia and the Eastern Bloc & yes corruption is a way of life, that does not mean we can just turn a blind eye. This behaviour does not end when these people then come to the UK, unfortunately.

The US Government could never get direct evidence to convict Al Capone of the dozens of murders and robberies he ordered even though they were 100% sure he was responsible. That is why they could only get him on tax evasion..................................

Thats what bothers me genius - when their mafias bring their violence to our shores!

That may be the case, and if so maybe he had a much smaller part to play than you suspect, not to sya that makes the benefitting any better.

I have nothing against people with money but they tend not to be self made without a ruthless streak and those that stay rich can be the tightest.

I have been to Russia as well a couple of times. It haschanged a lot since the 80's even.

Regardless of the US governemet or the russian gvernment, key players during glasnost have been killed, died in mystrious circumstances or exiled. Roman we have been told would be arrested on return to Russia in the past but none of this has happened.

I spent a lot of last year arguing with people that were convinced 9/11 was a governement plot, people will argue today about the moon landings, the kennedy assasination and other things.

IMy attitude is simple, if it is clear cut it will be dealt with, if it isn't I'll let others worry about it and I will follow the official line whatever that is.

JFDI........................I agree, there are things out there we know little about, however RA has been sent to prison once already & admitted in open court to bribery & corruption charges & as he came out of it all as one of the richest Oligarchs I think we cann safely assume that he had more than a passing influence on matters.

Still if we finish 3rd I will be supporting Chelsea next Saturday evening. If we finish 4th I will be a Bayern supporter!

As is your right, I would be gutted if my team qualified then missed out, we have no right to expect support from anyone and I wouldn't ask it.

JFDI..........................True, but I do normally support British clubs in Europe but only if it does not affect my support for Spurs.

935m? Doubt it mate... Are you including the purchase of the club in that?

Look at it this way... Aguero, silva, hart, kompany, de Jong, toure, Tevez are worth around £200m

The rest of the playing squad at another £150m
