Well the last Udders striker we nicked was awesome!!!
sounds nice enough but I dont think we would splash the cash that Udders would want for him.
But we have Madine and Antonio. There are better buys around in the summer who will have had Championship experience. Previously we got lucky, along with other clubs, by not signing Billy Sharp; so lessons should've been learned.
With regards to Rhodes, acedemic methinks... a) The asking price will be way too high b) unlikely Udders would sell to us, plus he is unproven in the Champ (didn't set the world on fire at Ipswich).
We will need players of proven Champ quality next term - taking risks doesn't work (see Jeffers and all the other odds and ends we have signed in the past.) as we all know to our cost over the last God knows how many years.
The squad has a decent core of comitted players, I think 3 newbys may come in to stiffen the spine with a lot of dead wood (Osty, D Jones, Reynolds etc ) going out.
I think Antonio and Batth are real possibilities - Wolves is a backwards step for Batth IMO (they are in decline, we are the opposite) and Antonio won't get a look in at Reading next term. 1 x midefielder who can boss things would be ideal too
No major surgery needed but punts here and there won't do us any good in getting back to where we all want to be. Its all about planning and making the right decisions within the perameters the club sits financially..
Whilst Mandy ain't going to go beserk Jones tends to make reasonably good signings so I am quietly confident we will be in a good place come August (certainly better than we were the last time we came up).
Agree about Batth Earlsfield. Hope we can land him and Antonio on solid contracts.
Maybe DJ has a bit more pull in the Championship for signings as opposed to Meggo's connections, we could be in for a decent summer!
Milan would'nt go over 500,000 for ALF
I would rather go for Charlie Austin, if we could prize him away from Burnley
plus he is unproven in the Champ (didn't set the world on fire at Ipswich).

Hmm...could be right i guess, coz it works at one club dosnt mean it will at another but on the other hand, it might you never know, but maybe it would be a financial gamble not worth taking
I think the price Udders would want for Rhodes would make the risk too high.
Hmmm...an unrealistic choice then
I think DJ has a good eye for a player so I place my trust in him to bring in some very good players for the upcoming campaign
