Amir i'd rather give a young bowler a chance than bring another 32 year old back.
As for Hafeez being skipper, i'm still unsure cos I would have given it to Afridi cos Hafeez is a confidence player and being skipper will not help.
Faisal never got consistent chance in international cricket and if memory serves correct,he scored 50 in his last innings in test cricket.GOOD SELECTION.
Farhat out and this shows that atleast to an extent, selectors have shut doors of nepotism.
Iqbal Qasim (chairman of selectors) is renowned for his unbiased attitude and IMO, Sami must have done exceedingly well to get back to international team.
I did not liked the move of removing Misbah as 20-20 skipper. For the first time after damn so many yrs we had bloody stability and this move can cause instability.
On Faisal Iqbal as far as I know and have been following in the domestic scene in the 4 day game he has been performing just about above average, nothing great though. But, in the 50 over game he's been performing pretty good... Still wouldn't have selected him because a Mohammad Ayub who has been performing very well for a long while will hopefully get his chance.
As for Sami as I said he's been performing very, very well... I'm pretty sure he's been averaging 30 odd+ with the bat and has taken a lot of wickets.
As for Imran Farhat he needs shooting.
Changing Misbah as T20 captain is good because it gives somebody else the chance to captain the team. Agree, with Kash that confidence can become an issue, but it's a good move I think. You can't think, if we do this, then something might happen to them team etc... They just have to think positive, IMO. Plus, Hafeez and Misbah are good friends.
Change in 20-20 captaincy is solely to curb Misbah's power.
