If you recieved anything above £40m, it would be difficult to say no imo, you could get 2 or 3 very good players and be a lot more competitive in doing so.

We said no to 40 million for modric who is lot older than Bale and not as good so dont see your argument at all

But from a footballing perspective, if you were offered Cisse, Kagawa and Ozil for example for a £40m transfer of Bale, you’d take it.

Bale is worth £32m....but they forgot to add the Levy Tax. @ 50%.

Spurs turned down £40m for Modric. Bale is worth more. He's younger, he's attacking, he's fast. that sort of player is always worth more.

Darth Levy wont sell unless its crazy money like what Real paid for Ronaldo. He is trying to build a team that consistently gets into the CL and challenges for the PL, and selling his best players wont help that.

Bale is 22, and only going to get better and better..... and his value will increase over the next few years.

People still have these delusions of Bale being worth £40 million? He has done nothing to command such a price tag.

Let's be honest, what is the likely hood that Barca even want Bale? Most people in Spain know that Jordi Alba is their main target for left back. And you can't for one second be suggesting that they want Bale for their attack? He would be lucky to make the bench.

Barca showed against Chelsea that they need players capable of unlocking tight defences (even though they unlocked it numerous times), Bale would be ineffective for Barca as he lacks guile and creativity, and why he dissapears against any top defence or doesnt do much against teams that park the bus.

I can't believe people are buying this story.
