Hmmm.......I think the more relevant matter is that they beat Real Madrid over two legs, and in convincing style.
They are thee strong favourites for me!
but their defence is suspect and can leak goals..if we keep a tight line and dont concede more then a goal i can see us winning the final!!
btw i never said we are favourites now..i only said i have some hope now that we can win the final..bayern are still massive favourites!!
and in convincing style.
=============
I wouldn't call penalties 'convincing'. And they're without three players remember.
Dortmund didn't even start Gotze. I think Munich may be a little over-rated due to their history.
They may have won on pens but they were clearly the better team in both games agst Madrid.
All you will do if defend for 99% of the time
Bayern have been off colour domestically for a VERY long time now. I wouldn't try to re-evaluate or gauge our chances based on tonight's result. Different ball game in the CL, different ball game in their own backyard.
I'd fancy us more neutral ground but never the less I reckon we can pull this of!
Defensively, Bayern aren't that good and they'll be even weaker next week.
If Drogba is on his game, I think he will score in Munich.
Its always going to be a hard task but I'm quietly confident we can win it.
It's going to beer the biggest and grab since this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FPL9_iGBWgI&feature=youtube_gdata_player
I'm sure Bayern were thinking the same thing after you got hammered by Liverpool.
Or maybe just extremely disappointed that terry won't be playing.
Was more or less a second string v liverpool, ron al numpty
Pretty much the same team you'll have to play in the CL final minus the goalie.

Ron, you clearly don't know what your talking about.
Its not even close to the team we'll have. Sturridge (or maybe Malouda) is the only player from Liverpool game who will play.
what about Terry? You think you're captain is going to miss the CL final?
Que rival fans coming on here trying to kill the optimism

I honestly don't know how to respond...

With words... in all seriousness though
Of the Chelsea players who played vs Liverpool
Essien could start, maybe Romeu. So could Ferreira if Cahill and Luiz aren't fit. Atleast one of Torres, Malouda and Sturridge will start... So it wasn't really that weakened a team. Especially considering Ramires and Terry would have started had they been eligible.
So minus Bertrand and Turnball, everyone of thoses players could have or most probably will take part in the final.
Of the Bayern team who played today only 7 of the players will expect to start the Cl final.
So there isn't that much difference between both performances.
I didn't respond as I didn't know if you were being stupid or sarcastic.
RDM likes play a 4-2-3-1 formation and Essien and Romeu are both behind Mikel and Lampard as the midfield two.
Cahill and Luiz have just been kept in cotton wool but will both be fit.
And of Torres, Malouda and Sturridge, only Sturridge will expect to play with Drogba getting nod over Torres up front.
So the team at Anfield has no relation to the team that will play in Munich.
Bayern's team was much closer to the one they'll have in final.
ssien could start, maybe Romeu. So could Ferreira if Cahill and Luiz aren't fit. Atleast one of Torres, Malouda and Sturridge will start... So it wasn't really that weakened a team. Especially considering Ramires and Terry would have started had they been eligible.
