Gutted. I felt certain he would've sent Villa down next season.
Really do struggle to see Hughton being our manager next season. I have no doubt Lerner wouldn't be too embarrassed approaching him. Neither will WBA.

I can't see this as that hard a task.
God help Villa's next manager. The way they treated McLeish and -to a lesser extent- Houllier, what manager would want to ply their trade in front of that shower. Their attitude to supporting their club was just as bad as Wolves under Mick and Blackburn.
Unfortunately, only two of those sets of supporters got what was coming to them.
As one of the presenters on WM said earlier, Villa fans should wake up and smell the coffee. How many of that team would get into a top six team?
On a less negative note (i.e. seriously), the Villa job seems to be a to long term project. Lerner has to appoint someone for the long term and (along with the fans) not expect immediate results- so forget the 'names' and get someone who can work within the confines of the situation- maybe Lambert is the man for the job.
