Us as favourites and Leeds 2nd....... .
More reallistically i think one of the three relegated sides will get automatic promotion and it will be a tough scrap for the other two promotion places between Birmingham, Cardiff, ourselves and Blackpool. (assuming WHU go up ofcourse)
As for Forest, they are REALLY going to struggle next season i fear
It is a bit annoying. We were made favourites last season before we even signed anybody so it was complete speculation in terms of what squad we’d end up with. The current squad has just finished outside the play-offs again so it would need very careful recruitment and speedy integration of new players for us to be looking at an automatic promotion place.
The relegated teams will all have parachute payments and, potentially, greater spending power. Even if they lose some players it is likely that they will go for higher transfer fees and the wages should be able to be sustained in the short term.
The odds also seem a bit generous towards Leeds. They have a similar rebuilding job to do as us, but with a chairman who is less inclined to invest. Maybe it’s to do with the Warnock factor or maybe it’s just because they are Leeds and are such a massive club.
The reward for Derby’s sure, but steady progress is to be made 33-1. Can’t see them challenging for automatic, but they might be an outside bet for the play-offs.
But what do any of these odds or speculation mean until the transfers start to happen?
I saw the other day Nikica Jelavic was 100/1 to be Euro 2012 top goal scorer.
Do these guys no anything?!

I disagree unfortunately, they improved no end after the mental lift of Portsmouth's ponts deductions, as well as Blackstock and McLeary coming back from injury. I think they'll be a much stronger outfit and might push for a play-off place.
We've got a lot to do and our rumoured signings don't fill me with confidence so far. However a lot can change between now and August so I'm not writing us off yet. I certainly wouldn't have us as favourites, Sheffield Wednesday and Charlton should probably be weel fancied considering us in 2010, and even more so considering Norwich and Southampton.
If West Ham go up I can't see an obvious candidate for favouritism, as they were at the start of this season (a long with us of course).

I think for Forest there could be a dramatic swing in either direction. They are up for sale and ambitious new owners could make all the difference, but get the wrong owners and .....
Either Blackpool or West Ham have to be factored in yet - But I really don't see how they put us and Leeds in there
It's all about where the money will be being spent currently. Bookies have to cover themselves and clus with larger fan bases coupled with higher ambitions will be receiving more bets currently from their own fans.
As things start to unfold and people start laying down bets on other clubs you will begin to see a clearer picture.
Basically, all this says at the minute is all the crazy Leeds fans think they are going up!!!!!

I fancy a tenner on Leicester finishing 9th or 10th.
It's the only thing we are consistent at !

"I am far from convinced about Pearson"

You don't say ...
Now be fair Joby. I haven't even created an article about Pearson for at least a fortnight
Foxello's warming to Pearson john gee is next
Does this prediction involve the introduction of an air conditioning or fridge-style heat exchanger, JA-F? At one end of the contraption, Johngee warms to Pearson; meanwhile, at the other end, hell freezes over.

Yeah, like a fly warms to shhhhhhhugar
Not so much a case of warming to him I'm afraid, just facing the cold reality that he will be our manager next season....until he gets sacked and the whole vicious revolving circle continues
