Modric = 25m absolute max!

----

thats why you bid 40 mill last year then you muppet

I admit Carrick is probably more likely due to his age and the fact he could play for more than one or two seasons (Scholes would only be one season), but do you rate Carrick higher than Scholes?

We rejected the c havs 40 million offer so now Modric is worth 50 million
================================

You think after this season Modric's value has increased rather than depreciated?

Anyone else prepared to offer alternative silly hypothetical deals involving a midfielder plus cash switch for Modric? Interested in who we think could be liklely?
Milner or Barry?

mthierry what a mug you are

Yeah, I am. For suggesting it's laughable to claim Modric is worth 50m pounds + Scholes.

Bubbles

Modric more successful passes in other teams half than any other player this season, prehaps if your midfield were that good you would not of finished 6th

Imagine the biggest, fattest 'NO' that has ever existed. Then put imagine that 'NO' after 10 years of marraige and three kids. It's got comfortable, and it knows it should exercise, but it has low self esteem, so it goes mental on the kfc. So what, who are you to judge?! I digress. But you are close to understanding the ridiculousness of taking a player who has already retired (twice, technically) as a replacement for Modric.

Brilliant logic

Floppy, I don't want to get rid of Luka, one of our most talented players, but if he strops and does a Berbatov, then would you rather rot him on the bench or sell for player plus cash and improves the Striker options? I would rather improve the squad and Scholes (or Carrick) could do a job, that's all. And we know that SAF is stalking Luka....

posted on 16/5/12

I'm not suggesting we keep him for a second. I think Huddlestone could do what Luka does. I just thought Scholes was a bit far fetched. If we can get £35m plus, then I say we should sell.

Weare

Modric hasn't been anywhere near as good this season as he was last.

6th is far higher than your average league finish by the way and is where you wil be finishing next season

Biggish

Spurs logic for you

I don't give a flying frig if City offer us £50mil, either he stays or he goes abroad.

I agree with that £35m Floppy. that amount should help with NEW STRIKER or NEW LEDLEY.
Hudd could play a big part next season with Sandro.

Are you like, 12 years old? (No, but it depends on how loosely you use the term like. Like is a subjective term, and if like means within 15 years then that would put me at between the ages of negative 3, and 27. I can confirm that I fall in this category).

Tottenham Dog, yes selling Luka abroad would be much better obviously than selling to PL teams.
We could swap him for Fabregas
Now that would be funny

Lets narrow it down to between 9 and 12 though!

I actually think he's been no difference from last season. There's no real difference in the level of his play. For some reason, your club offered outrageous money and Levy, more outrageously, rejected it for a good, but far from great, player.

Well there's no harm in demanding Scholes if Utd approach us for Modric...we can ask for Giggs as well while we're at it
