Although potentially a decent player, Hines has proven to be somewhat injury prone and unfortunately just like Chris Riggott before him, just when we needed him.
Last year he showed he has heart after playing on with a broken jaw but, he was also directly responsible for several goals against us last season.
He is prone to lapses of concentration and not physical enough for a centre half. He was often pushed off the ball far too easily and although he looks good when he comes from behind and attacks the ball, in the championship especially, he needs to be much stronger.
We have Mcmanus, Bates and Williams ahead of him, Grounds who is similar and Gibson coming through, I would therefore consider a realistic fee for him but only if the money and saved wages can be used to strengthen positions where we are weak.
