Very good game that is flawed just as FIFA is. I'm not big on online play though. I have mates over to play on the same screen. I'm not adverse to human interaction.

That said I spend most of my time playing Football Life(master league) as it is wonderful. You start out with a nobody team(even if I were to pick Barcelona) and have to take them from a lower league up to the top. Extremely difficult to do on higher levels. Although you can easily unlock real squads relatively early.

Gameplay is great against AI who I can safely say is miles better than Fifa AI. Still a few items they need to address but that would take ages and I'm lazy. I recommend it if you want a different feel from FIFA.

'Tis very bad. I bought it. Regretted buying it after the first few games. The shooting on there is a joke amongst other things. Ive forgotten the rest of the things that put me off since its been so long Ive played it.. I dont like Fifa though.. So i'm stuck waiting until PES decide to get off their backsides and work on the game A LOT more.

RTM Its rubbish. Maybe I'm stil fantasizing about the good old days of PES. Back on the PS2. Could play PES for hours and hours on there.

Come on. Quit with the "back in my day things were better" routine. Those games were simple and would be crap nowadays. These football games are much deeper and more complicated. It's a style they haven't truly mastered yet but they are great fun if you don't try to play them like you have previous versions.

Like I said both FIFA and PES have flaws. I for one can't stand FIFA, but I will admit these games while not gems still offer a ton more than older games do.

Is it me or do konami purposely not give the public everything they want all at once? Sometimes they even take steps backwards after one year of moving forward. It's like they have a plan of "this year we will make passing and movement 100% manual" and then next year it's "scale that back and give them smarter AI instead".

There needs to be a 3rd company making a football game worthwhile

ever since the switchover to ps3, they've fell off hard with pro evolution. that used to be the only game i played. now ive stopped playing ps3 totally because i refuse to get used to fifa. cant stand fifa.

pro evoluition back in the day was all about the fun. fifa have taken the fun out of the game, you barely get any time on the ball, you have to be mega quick with your passing, you cant make a mistake, you can barely dribble with the ball without getting dispossessed. fifa's rubbish.

that said, pro evo is even worse.

IMO its 2nd best in a poor couple of footy games. Both IMO deserve about 6.5-7/10. FIFA does it a tiny be bit overall but is still pretty flawed. Both have pros and cons will just depend on what you prefer. However, even though i feel FIFA is the "better game" I do play more PES because as stated above a brilliant Master League and better than FIFA single player mode thingy.

I thought fifa was great this year. It's the EA servers I cant stand.

That's part of fifa though isn't it Psycho. It ruins a huge chunk of the game. There are other things as well, but you can't just say it was great by ignoring what is, for me, the most important part of it!

PES2012 is my fav PES so far and I've played them all.
It does have its flaws but every so often you have the most epic game ever that feels close to a real exciting game you'd see on tv.

I like that this new one is difficult, you have to master tackling rather than just holding the pressure button and getting the ball like the old ones.

The com AI does a good job of feeling organic, they spread the ball about a bit and score some good goals.

One of the best things, unlike fifa is that you never know what kind of goal you're gonna score in any game

Konami are s. So many small changes would enhance their share of the market greatly. Go back to basics.
