Why the fascination with Goodwillie?

I dont think anyone will be paying £2m for Goodwillie until his rape case is cleared up one way or the other.

I think Ally has always just really liked him as a player. Hes clever, fairly nippy and a good finisher.

Him and Jelvic up front would hit 50 goals between them no probs at all.

He's a good player, worth signing.

The charges are another matter....

i Agree with Coach Taylor...people are implying we're skint for not reachin0the valuation but i don't see the same accusations levelled at Cardiff for thinkin it's a bit inflated...Sayin that tho if naisy and whitts are twomillion then so is a court free goodwillie

50 goals or girls?

Noticed he was at the scene of anotehr scufflethat has been uin thepapers today. the guy that assaulted Swanson and knocked him out and headbutted the lad that plays at LB for DU. Was thinking what is it with DU players until I read further down the article and read Goodie was there too..... no shock there. The guy is a total pr!(k

Goodwillie is like a percentage of all our youth, cabbageheaded.

He's a young, relatively wealthy, talented footballer but immature and unable to handle his emotions/temper and because he's a footballer his failings are highlighted and he's judged before any trial.

Give the boy a break, if he's guilty he'll be dealt with, until then i'd easily rate him as a £2m striker.

Isn't that what got him into bother in the first place?

There'll be another Bold Headlined Statement about Rangers' protocol in the Scottish way of life, before hte Pantomine sweetie will part with £2m

Do you think that if the charges are droped, and thats a big if, that the fee might increase?

Either way, my issue is not if he's a good player or not, I know he is, or if we're skint or not, cause we aint. I just don't want to waste money on a player who may get banged up for a considerable amount of time. We could sign Tevez and it would be a waste of money if he can't actually play for us.

from what i read in the paper today, it was two bams that started on d.swanson and another utd player that goody was with.

Story didnt really mention goody except that he was there. I take it there are still assault charges against goody?

goodwillie is a good player and would do a decent job up front with jelly. he's a poacher and that is something the club doesn't have at the mo. 1.5m - 2m is not too much for a player who. if he developes, will more than pay for himself when sold. Rangers just dont seem to have the cash for transfers and that will probably crash the deal.

posted on 7/7/11

I've never said he's not a good player. What im worried about is us spending £1.5 - 2million on him, then he goes and spends some considerable time in one of her majesty's finest hotels.

If he didn't have these charges hanging over his head, i'd be all for forking out the cash.
