I want England to be good but this England squad that Hodgson has selected is shít.

Don´t shoot the messenger, it´s not my fault.

what on earth is Henderson doing on the standby list ? He wouldn´t get into my local five a side team.

Superb is right, it's like Woy is trying to regain the respect of the club that shunned him, and it's pretty pathetic.

Gerrard is still good enough to play a part but the inclusions of Downing, Johnson, Carroll and Henderson as a back up are just ridiculous. Woy obviously isn't picking players based on form, so it begs the question, why?

I don't think Superb is getting at Liverpool as a club so people should be a bit less stroppy, because I have nothing at all against Liverpool, and I agree with pretty much everything he has said, barring the Gerrard bit

Thankyou Champagne.

Finally an intelligent poster.

This article is nothing against Liverpool FC.

But it´s very strange that all the controversial inclusions in the suqad and standby list are all Liverpool players.

Is Hodgson trying to redeem himself somehow by showing that he can do well with Liverpool players ??

Nobody is ever going to be able to convince me that Downing or Carroll should be in the England squad and Henderson on the standby list is just as bad.

Bet the OP was one of those who jumped on the Hodgson support bandwagon when we sacked him last year.

Actually no I wasn´t but thanks for making huge assumptions.

I seem to have upset some Liverpool fans which wasn´t my intention.

Can any Liverpool fans put their hand on their heart and say that Downing and Carroll are good enough to be going to the Euros ?

Really I´d love to hear from any.

The point is you are anti liverpool. You fail to mention other players who probably shouldn't be there. I agree that downing and Carrol haven't done enough, but they are not the only ones.

This article has nothing to do with how I feel about Liverpool.

Tell what players in the England squad shouldn´t be there apart from the Liverpool players I´ve mentioned ?

That´s the entire point of my article. ALL the controversial inclusions are Liverpool players.

I´m still waiting for you Babel´s Missing Chin.

You were going to come back and tell me all the non-Liverpool players who shouldn´t have been picked in this England squad.

Unfortunately for you there aren´t any which is why you never replied.

ALL the England players who shouldn´t have been picked today are Liverpool players.

That´s nothing against Liverpool. It´s just a fact.

Thanks for helping me prove my point

Well who else would you pick? England don't have many good players and the Euros isn't the time to start experimenting.

Carroll, Downing and Johnson all have England caps and a familiarity with being involved in the England squad. Johnson has been 1st choice right back for ages.

One might argue that Terry, Defoe, Jones and Walcott aren't good enough but it seems most just want a dig at Liverpool. I actually would rather see A johnson over Downing but the fact is, he hasn't played anywhere near enough games this year. Performance wise I don't see why Welbeck and Sturridge evade any criticism and Carroll doesn't, other than the fact that the former two are in better club teams at the moment.
