Have said this a few times. Must have been difficult to deal with. Whether he's on the decline or not Paddy will always be one of my favourite United players.

November I think. When we lost to City 6-1. He still played which shows what type of man he is.

I think it was day before the 6-1 and he is still an amazing left back but he is getting older. He has played over 40 games for the past 4 years easy and its probably starting to effect him now. This is why if we sign a left back give him some rest and he only play say 25 games in those 25 he will be back to his best

I think the problem football-wise is that Evra has set such high standards that if he dips a little we are quick to criticise. He has been solid enough this season, and he's probably played more games in that last few seasons than anyone else (I remember when we had a run of games with hardly any defenders and he was the only constant). Issues off the pitch won't have helped any.

He is still one of the best LBs in the league and still has a couple of good seasons left in him. Of course he's not going to improve any, but I'm still happy to have him start for next season.

Ok cheers Paul. I read about it but wasn't sure of when. That would destroy anyone. Good on him to push on through!

Didn't know about his brother either. Makes me all the more glad I was one of the ones backing him on here these last few weeks. There's plenty who haven't.

Don't forget that Vidic is a left sided CB, so his injury will have affected Evra too.

I do think we need a left back though

i have a lot of sympathy for what he's been through, but don't forget he was awful for most of last season too.

I think we shuold all cut him some slack. He has been amazing for us for a numebr of seasons and one bad season doesnt suddenly make him useless.

Physiclaly he is clearly still good enough (still quick as hell) and you dont just lose your technical ability. It's just his mentality. His work rate has been disapoointing and his concentration levels have been all over the place

Hopefully a kick up his backside from Fergie this summer will do the trick

There is no doubt that he has been poor defensively this season. He's not been tracking runs, not been closing down wingers and allowing them to put crosses in. It may be age; it may be that he's not got that fire in his belly; it may be that this season has been very traumatic for him.

Perhaps some of us have been harsh on him. Personally I still think he's a good LB, but obviously hasn't been at his best.

I see Fabio as his successor, provided he can overcome these injury problems. He's always had Evra in front of him, so first team opportunities have been few and far between. Hopefully his loan move next season will do him wonders.

Does he play for nothing?

Rubbish excuse from evra. Trying to pin that on how bad he has been dating back to 2010 is a load of cobblers. He needs to man up and stop talking out of his harris. His form has nothing to do with either, he has been shocking since the world cup.

Death of his brother obviously a tragic incident but whats that gotta do with the fact he has been bobbins for 2 years?
