He was a victim of circumstance. Had nothing to do with being out of his depth, etc... he was given a brief to revolutionise a team with more political pull than ability, and Roman lost his nerve at the first sign of resistance. You'll give him the foundation to build he deserves from us.

^^^^^^

The fact that Chelsea fans are supporting him terrifies me. He would be a disaster IMO. Any PP always do this. As soon as a decent size bet is placed they freeze it and look into it, to try and get to the source....

AVB is a great choice providing they give him time. if the remit is to get champions league football next season or you're out then its a big gamble. but these guys seem to want a young manager to fulfill a long term plan. AVB is that man. not so long ago this guy was the best young manager in europe and chelsea were paying £13million for him! that chelsea job was a nightmare job and there is no doubt he made mistakes. but he will have learnt from those mistakes and i can see him being a great success for liverpool. the only thing that would concern me would be his transfer record. i don't know what it is like but he hasn't really had more than two transfer windows at one club so he's unproven in that field which i think is vitally important.

lmao .... your right. We told you REPEATEDLY signing Adam, Henderson, Downing, Carroll, Bellamy and Enrique didn't give you a foundation to think you could challenge for the title again. And boy, you sure proved us wrong

I would say he bought Mata so he obviously has a eye for talent but the sad truth of our club is we don't actually know if the manager has selected the players we buy, as seen by the fact we don't have a full-time manager and we've already bought Marin .

Also when we appoint a new manager they don't get given the term manager they get given the term " 1st team coach "

His only flop to date in that field was Meireles, and that was a 24 hour rush appointment. He signed Mata & Moutinho at a collective cost of just over 30mil. Say no more.

just seen his chelsea signings:
courtois - great keeper
mata - can't argue
lukaku - potential
romeu - looks decent.

four good young players.

Meireles isn't even that bad of a flop Torres', scored some key goals for us this season and was outstanding in both games vs Barca

I wouldn't say meireles was a flop

not saying you're wrong but remeber we're Liverpool and not Chelsea

If we'd signed them they'd all be called flops except Mata who we overrate.
