Get a centre half or two in and don't think that's too bad. Mcgoldricks not up to much. So add a couple of loans and a free or two to that and I don't think that would be a bad side.

I'd agree with sutton, we may be worrying about players leaving but we still have plenty of talent to call upon, not least in midfield. A couple of defenders on loan ( again) and we should be ok, and hopefully Cohen will be back for next season too.

After seeing GM and Gunts leave I think Campy will want to be next out the door (especially if Vorm leaves for Arsenal as rumoured). Cohen wont be ready for August, so it will probably be Moloney at RB Freeman LB.

The good news is that if the money from Gunts and possibly Camp is given to SC for new players he could probably bring in half a dozen new faces (all defenders).

You're right about Lascelles, he needs three months on loan in League 1 nor 2. I think Freeman could be good next season though; the 'pies fans rave about him and would love to sign him (he is a 'pies fan himself alledgedly), but admit he is too good for that league.

mcgugan instead of mcgoldrick

Isn't that pretty much the side that would haev got us relegated until we brought the loan players in, and McCleary hit form?

I also think that selling Gunts is totally unnecessary and out of the question. You can't lose an entire back four in one summer and expect to do ok. Keep Gunter and use the mystery £10k a week that we were supposed to be paying McCleary and put it towards bringing in Clint Hill, Higginbottom and Shorey on frees. Then get Cunningham back on loan, resign Lynch and Bobs your uncle.

that would be re-sign, not resign. He's got far too bright a future ahead of him to do that.

I think a better team would be

Camp
Freeman, Lascelles, Lynch, Cunningham.
Greening [Capt].
McGugan, Cohen, Reid.
Majewski.
Blackstock.

We need a proper left back, Cunningham on loan again or maybe sign him if we get enough for Gunts. No good playing Cohen there, he should play midfield, if he comes back as good as we know he can be then there's no reason he can't replace Guedioura.

next season will be twice as bad as last season, we're going to have to find at least 5 defenders and 2 or 3 wide players just to be able to select a team, never mind improve the team.

if we don't get relegated next season it'll be a miracle of biblical proportions.
