Cleverley is better than Henderson, BUT Hendo has had match time i guess.

Anybody hear that rumour on Twitter (i know) a few weeks ago that him and SAF "fell out" over his off field stuff and that's one of the reasons he's not been in the team?

I mean he's hired a brand company to oversee his. TC23 image. He's started 10 games and he thinks he's a BRAND?

I don't know if this means anything but Henderson was the Captain for u21's

TC23 are you joking? Ha! He a very good player but to believe he is a brand is something different, he's not Ronaldo, Messi or Beckham for God's sake!

His agent would have sorted out the "brand".

I've done a few websites for footballers, without even meeting them or speaking to them.

Wouldn't believe SLM, he normally talks a load of shît

Cleverley shouldn't have expected to be in the squad really. If he had played more toasted the end off the season, then maybe.

Cleverley disappointed not to make the England squad.

Carrick can't even get in and Cleverley wants in?

Come on, is this a wind up?

I'm glad he's disappointed but I'm surprised that he thought he'd even make the squad. [Looking pass how anyone can get into the squad, Downing] He's only featured 15 times for Manchester United, and I'm sure at least half of those are as a substitute. He needs to actually show that he can be fit and play a full season with consistency. The saddest thing is, he's more injury prone than Anderson, he's out for months pretty much every season, so unless his body manages to grow out of it, I doubt he'd be picked for any kind of tournament.

Yep. He has a TC23 collection coming soon according to his website.

To be fair, we all thought that when we saw Downing, Henderson and Carroll.

Cleverley has played less than 10 matchs since January - what does he expect - you footballers nowadays....

It reminds me of Hargreaves 2 years ago - second last game of the season at Sunderland he played the least 2 minutes - the following Monday he was on about hoping to make the Engalnd squad until Fergie told him to remember who pays his wages and medical bills.

Thing is footballers usually leave websites and all that to their agents and other people behind the scene.
I hope he isn't getting ahead of himself.

Thought Carrick told Roy he didn't want to be there?!

He simply hasn't played enough football to be considered. If he had stayed fit for the majority of the season then I think he would have been going, but not on the handful of appearances he has managed.

However, him saying that he is disappointed not to be in, isn't the same as him saying that he thinks he should be in. It could just mean that he is gutted with how his injuries have ruined his chances of making it? At the start of the season he was playing well and people were talking about him being in the squad for Euro 2012. Now, at the end of the season, he has barely played and the chance has passed him by. Why wouldn't he be gutted?

am glad he didn't make it. he has the air of someone who thinks he has made it with all his tweeting and media commitment. he needs to work harder. the boss will sort that tho.

i suspect he may make the Olympic squad. which as i said yesterday will be far more interesting than yesterdays bore.

He is allowed to be disappointed you know.

"Obviously disappointed didn't make the squad but these things make you work harder. Well done to the lads who did n come on England!"

The omission is obviously understandable, but what emotion should he feel..... elation!?

I was disappointed not to make the squad as well.
