Very pleased with these appointments, Harford was an ex Wimbledon player, hard as nails, and wont be messed about.
Wrighty was a brilliant natural goal scorer, however what he can teach our present strikers is open to debate.
Superdons,
He could teach them to poach goals and be quick in the box. Going back on everyone's opinion that Powell could be good striker, I think Ian would be an ideal coach for him.
if he can teach powell some better close ball control skills, then his stike threat would soar
He gone and got two strikers, as both Mick Harford and Wrighty are strikers. Perhaps it was buy one get one free. .
These appointments indicates a clear intention by KR that he is staying.
Maybe he is also persuaded by the fact that next season (on paper at least) it could be easier to get up and out of L1 ... e.g. There are fewer MASSIVE clubs to worry about - Coventry and Doncaster are not like Sheffield's W and U (although Utd may still be here of course). Portsmouth could do a Plymouth in their state. PNE may get it together, but it doesn't look that good so far. So then its just the usual L1 teams we are used to from this year, plus perhaps Swindon.
Bring it on I say.
Anyone else feel OK about next year, all of a sudden?
Hmmm. I must admit i do agree that it sounds as if Robbo will stay on as he seems really happy with these 2 joining us...Or, he sees it as a way of getting in replacements and getting them up to speed so he can leave it in safe hands so he doesnt feel so bad if he does get another offer and shoot off.
However it does sound like a great partnership and i hope the gell and have the desired affect.

We could always do an Ince and bring on Wrighty like he did with Rae!!! now that would cause some excitement...
It might be difficult as he won't be with us on Saturdays due to his TV commitments and similar for Wrighty stepping up to Assistant Manager.
It looks like commitment from Robbo, although if he gets an offer he can't refuse who knows and I'll be happy if he's still here at the start of the season.
I'm reassured by the interviews at

I may be naive* but they are making the right sort of noises about being attracted to MK, all because of the style of play KR has got going here.
And would Winkie sanction KR to bring in these two without being confident they can work with him? (i.e. it's a risk that they can't work with his replacement if KR goes).... and I don't believe PW would be thinking Harford could take over from Karl if needed.
So on balance, this looks good to me.
*Is that how you spell it?
Noticed Sam wasn't even on the bench today, is he injured or is he completely out of favour at West Ham, could be an ideal season long loan, not the Hammers are back in the premiership
