No, they wanted 4th. John Henry said so, had Kenny of atleast come close to 4th he would of still been here.
yes if he had got closer to fourth then he would have kept his job. But the new manager will probably not be told 'you have to achieve champions league football this season or else your sacked.' this is why FSG are looking at all these young inexperienced managers, as they want to implement a project. they didn't want dalglish
Just to clear this up. Kenny WAS sacked for his performance in the league.
It is true our league performance ultimately cost kenny his job. It is also true that kenny was originally a stop gap as fsg stated they wanted young title winner! Kenny earned the full time role with his performance at the end of last season. However the lack of league progress this year cost him. Fsg are now reverting back to their original plan of young successful manager.
Op I agree with what u said, I do wish kenny had more time an I do worry that the owners maybe a bit high in their expectations of what can be achieved in one season at the club(hopefully they will prove me wrong)!
When fsg first came in they did a fans forum in lfctv and spoke to and answered fans questions! I thought that was superb and they should do it again now!
One question I want answered is where are we at with the stadium issue? New or revamp? When? Why do long in deciding?
Ok so that's like 4 questions but u know what I mean
yeh i agree the stadium needs sorting. but i think the stadium is currently a small issue. they've sacked a whole host of people at the heart of the club. this needs rebuilding first ensuring stability over the next few years. once these vacant positions has been filled and the plans of the new manager are in place, FSG will turn attentions to the stadium issue.
