Is that a useful investment given the return from Bates & Co? The answer is no. When he spends my money, and so many others, wisely in rebuilding the team not the ground then I will come back.

I go to the theatre, if the standard of play/musical was poor week in week out, would I keep returning? Particularly if my local theatres were charging London prices? Again the answer is no.

Timing of signing is always a worrying indicator to me. Pugh, Vayrynen and Forssell all arrived in September, implies to me missed targets in the transfer window saw us scrambling around for rejects that nobody else wants, just to fill the squad and in hope they can add something to a squad clearly lacking.

Everyone knew we had a shocking defence in our returning season to the Championship, yet the first and only signing in defence was Darren 'not good enough for Celtic/Ipswich' O'Dea. Leicester had brought in Matt Mills and St-Ledger by July 7th. We are not in the market for these types of players as they cost a few £million each as well as big wages no doubt.

Thought Brown was a good signing as we needed experience to add to Howson, Johnson and Kilkenny. Oh wait a minute, we didn't add we replaced Johnson with Brown.

Can't argue with Bessone, although i did expect better from him and thought with his championship experience and the fact that he was a natural LB would see him do well.

Bessone..... sorry, still makes me laugh, when we got him, I was "oh great, he sounds Italian, left back, must be good'

Bates is a crook end of. Most fans are split on the subject, those that don't mind him are only interested in the team. These same people will and are tuning against him, especially when we see no players of quality coming in. They start to wonder why and the only denominator is Bates. Not so long ago Bates told the truth, when he mentioned that players would walk over broken glass to play for Leeds. Well not any more and thats because we've gotten a reputation as a cheapskate, penny pinching, small minded club with no ambition. Reason: Bates

The rest of us who have had a bug up our backsides ever since he first stole the club, will never change our minds whatever he does. I have said many times that I would leave him alone if he did what he promised me 8-years ago, and thats get my team back into the premiership. Afterall thats why the tickets are so high, because the deal was ';if you want prem football you have to pay prem prices'. I've kept my side of the bargain, and I'm still waiting the return on my investment. i don't want fooking white elephant developments, I want money, my money spent on the team. Build you fooking patio or whatever the fook you want, with the money the club gets extra for being in the prem.
