They could make us move to Dundee! The biggest penalty available and once other teams see this penalty invoked no club or manager will ever step out of line!

My point was that if Rangers played in the SPL with 'Unregristered' Players tehn surely they have played in Europe with unregistered players.
Ally, moving them to Dundee would be too harsh

UEFA will do nothing. The Italian teams involved in the corruption scandal a few years ago were punished by the Italian FA. UEFA did not add any further punishments.
Avenger, Spot on mate, but hey dont spoil their dream
"corruption scandal "
How apt.

Didnt say a word mate!!!
Seriously though, this is a can of worms uefa is not going to want to go near.
We have been told all along that the HMRC are using us as an example to go after the EPL clubs.
Its fair to assume that the EPL clubs have probably used a very similar method to ourselves.
Arsenal who have been in the champions league many times over the last few years have been known to use these EBTs.
Liverpool are rumoured to be the biggest offenders of the lot, and were suspected to be using them during their CL winning campaign.
The one thing Uefa will want to avoid at all costs is having to go back and change the results of historic tournaments, especially with the volumes of cash that are at stake. All sorts of law suits would happen.
Aye, bit Leeds United...

Figures I heard banded about was between £100m-£150m before the fines!
They could be looking at a bill of £300m!!!!
They might even need to sell Carroll to cover that!
Cheers Ginger!
Fact is I know im right, but there is a 70% chance the SFA/SPL will just feck it up and ignore the laws, take our history, we will decide to take it on the chin, not legally challenge it and I will be left on here shouting and crying about Leeds United, whilst trying to rally the RFF, who by this stage will have decided to spend all their money on anti-potato banners, to get some lawyer to fight the case.
"crying about Leeds United"
You will anyway.
However; if Rangers take the more likely route of newco; they could effectively defend any action by saying that they are an entirely new entity and therefore any punishments could only be applied to the "old" Rangers.
That would work in the normal business world. However any newco needs a league to play in so it might be a requirement to accept any sanctions as a condition of joining the SPL.
Of course if they choose to simply apply to the SFL for the vacancy in the 3rd division it would be a clean slate all bar the fines and transfer embargo currently imposed which the SFA may insist stand before granting them a new SFA membership.
