They were not brought back in 2005, they were changed to suit Liverpool. You knew the rules that season as well, but it did not stop you challenging them.

All we are trying to do is change them back to suit Spurs.

Are you taking the píss? The rules were put in place after what happened with Liverpool in 2005 and Spurs, Newcastle and Arsenal all knew the importance of finishing 3rd. It is not UEFA's fault that you bottled a 2 goal lead at the Emirates and it is not UEFA's fault that you bottled a 13 point in the league and it is not UEFA's fault that you bottled it at Villa Park. It is your fault, nobody else's.

Actually it was very unclear as to whether we would be qualifying for the competition the next season or not. The rules were changed to ensure that the champions always have the chance to defend the trophy, and that is the way it should be. And therein lies the difference between our situation and yours, you simply finished fourth (knowing that this may not have been good enough), whereas we actually won the thing.

If we were to finish fourth and have our place taken away by another team who finished below us but won it, then obviously we would be disappointed but there is now a clear rule in place to prevent such a messy situation occurring again, so we would accept that. We certainly wouldn't have Tom Werner trying to get rules changed.

Do find it funny though how the vast majority of Spurs posts on here say that we should leave it, yet Arsenal, Chelsea and West Ham fans are focusing on the few that say we should 100% challenge it attempting to make it look like it is all of us.

I doubt Levy is challenging anything. There wouldn't have been an official announcement on the spurs site about us being the Europa league if there was any doubt.

We're not missing out on CL because of Chelsea. We're missing out because we failed to finish in a guaranteed CL spot. Simple as that.

For the record I was not bumlicking Chelsea, I supported United in last season's final and I supported Liverpool both times vs Milan. I always support English teams in Europe and I don't understand why I am in a minority for doing so. The only team I won't support in Europe is Spurs and that is only because of the pathetic fans singing "are you watching Arsenal" when you drew 0-0 with Milan
