Wanting the dead wood out and getting the dead wood out are two different things. Most of them are still on big fat contracts. ps never felt so down as a spurs fan.

If Modric does go i dont think chelsea will be in for him this time round especially now they have signed Marko Marin.
With Juan Mata aswell i dont think they now need a player like Modric.
I can see Man u or Real Madrid coming in for him and would like to think we could involve a player(s) swap as part of the deal.
Perhaps Carrick, Berbatov, Park, Ganso, Sahin or Diarra.
I really hope we can sign Ade up permanently or another loan deal and sign Remy and Vertoghen.
I would also like to see either Hoilett or Adam Johnson arrive to compete with Lennon and Bale.
Obviously we also need a young keeper and according to Spurcat who is involved with goalkeeper scouting at spurs, the club is avidly searching for one.
Regarding players leaving i think spurs will try (gonna be difficult) to offload up to 11 players. -

Chronic - how true do you think the rumours of a £50m transfer kitty are?
hhhhmmmmnnn....perhaps 50mil if the right players are shifted and levy has his iron will for the best price head on...
and even then...1 of the outs wld have to be a 'star' player...
can't really see us having 50mil to iron out.
We don't have any set budget. The club are looking to make a 5-10 million pound profit this transfer window on player sales. So sell 50 mill worth we get 45 mill to spend
Our deadwood if we can shift them should bring in 40 mill. Then modric if sold should be another 40.
I am not sure what affect being in Europa has had on this plan but that was the situation pre Saturday
