jacko the rovers shirt was the 'panasonic' shirt wasnt it?
We've always had sh it manufacturers though,Joe Fecking bloggs!
I liked the pulse one.
I think this year's umbro home is the best one , I did like my yellow and purple vileda one too !
Bukta with the Daiatshu (can't spell it) sponsor home kit
A good sponsor makes a shirt look smarter,, Probably why i liked our panasonic shirts, kirklees college looks sheet and spoils this one. imo
Fave ever away strip would be the 70s style Brazil Daihatsu with light blue shorts,,Long ago,
B loody hell, I remember Central Mirfield shirts!
Yeah.
I'm with most of you regards the 'Panasonic' shirt.
still got mine somewhere.
I also liked the Admiral 'Yorkshire Building Society' effort.
Top stuff.
A 'Big name' corporate sponsor is vital, makes a world of difference , That said.
On a personal level, I wish this trend had never taken off, & would like to see the club shirt unblemished with 'logos'
Shouldn't Panasonic have had an outlet at the ground selling their products, (...or whoever) with 10% discount for season ticket holders....
Just another idea from Darns,
'Workable Solutions RUZ'
Good idea, but don't think mops would have sold too well.
The best one i remember is the 70,s bukta shirt wi central mirfield as the sponsor on it.....probably cos this is when i first started watching town in 1978....and it reminds me of our success under buxton....kindon..kindon...bring on the champions
also like the red and black hooped gola shirt!
Panasonic was my favourite, but the Pulse one was good too...and I liked that away strip, the Brazil one.
My other favourite was the jazzy red and black 'fuzzy lines'..
I think our current kit is okay, but if we get promoted it'll be another legendary kit !!
Didn't Town once have an away kit of white shirts and black shorts ?
Is anyone old enough to remember when Tom Johnson got rid of the striped shirts (twice) and made us play in plain blue shirts ? Had HTAFC in script on the front..?
dint one of them blue shirts have a red terrier on em 1 season 2?
think satday we should wear a 1920,s style kit for good luck
I remember Johnson changing the traditional stripes for Plain Blue Shirts Jacko.
It didn't go darn too well did it.
Barca.
I think the 1st time the 'red terrier' appeared was under Ian Greaves leadership....when we were back in stripes, & the 'terriers' nickname was adopted, The season before promotion to the 1st division.
It was 'Naff'
My favourite was PANASONIC REAL and the late 80s Greenalls shirt as I was mascot in that......
http://www.classicfootballshirts.co.uk/other-uk-clubs/league-one/huddersfield.html
also trivia question...... The 1989/90 Greenall's shirt (without beers) was manufactured by matchwinner....can anyone remember the kit manufacturer that immediately followed for a short time??????
worse than joe bloggs.......
Blimey, I think I've got most of your favourite shirts! All three of 'em! The Yorkshire Building Society, Panasonic and Pulse.
saddo ?
have yo got the Vileda Mop one too ?
WORST SHIRT EVER..THAT BEIGE/GREEN/PURPLE MONSTROSITY.. SH-TE...
best ever..the gola , black/red zig zags,,,

Of the home ones there in this order:
99-01 - Marcus Stewarts glory years in this shirt, nice shade of blue and nice pattern as well with the lining and dark collar.
88-89 - I like that it's different to all other Town shirts. In general I thought all 3 Greenalls shirts were nice.
11-12 - I really like this years home shirt, by far the best material wise we've ever had and fits like a modern football shirt should.
Away shirts:
1. Yellow and black checks.
2. Greenalls thin red and black stripes.
3. Panasonic white middle and black sleeves.
I'm fed up of the away shirts all being similar, I'm hoping for something a bit more adventurous this year.
