Its possible he might not want to move to another english club but considering he basically single handedly won them the champions league I don’t think they’d care that much if he moved here.
I think the bigger sticking point would be his wages, and whether he’d want to move to probably play second fiddle to Rooney and Welbeck.
In answer to your question though – yes I’d probably have him on a 2 year deal. The guy is hardly ever injured and can still turn it on – I guess the question is how committed he’d be but then if we are competing for trophies he will want to win them
I'd take him if he wanted to come to us.
We got Owen during a similar situation when we lost Tevez and Ronaldo. But he couldn't keep fit.
I'm sure we could give him sufficient amount of Game time, unless we sign Kagawa/Hazard.

Haha thanks.

I think wages would probably be the biggest hindrance. Maybe that is the reason Chelsea are moving him on; to lighten up their wage bill (they did the same to Anelka and Alex too I believe).
He will probably get more money playing somewhere in China or the US, but that would be a waste imo. He can still cut it at the top level.
I think Hazard and Kagawa would replace Giggs/Park and give Rooney more of a rest
I think it’s a sure bet we will play 5 across the midfield next season in Europe and those two are flexible in that kind of formation.
To be honest I'd prefer we go with younger players than freebie 35+ year old players
If Utd do sign Kagawa and Hazard you will most certainly see a change in style of play next season
4-2-3-1 formation
But I don't see both signing and we would still need a CM.
Love to get them both though

Cleverly – I see your point but he would provide a sort of stop gap whilst Welbeck and Hernandez develop and give us good strength in depth. Its good to see young players coming through but even the best young players go through dips in the season – drogba would cost nothing (apart from wages and possibly a signing on fee) and provide cover in a position we are fairly strong in for a a year or two – plus he is better than Owen and probably berba so we would actually be strengthening
Any more news on the Clyne/Powell rumours? Did anyone watch the Crewe game?

Most of us would I guess, but I don't see us spending lavishly on a Falcao/Llorente sort of player. Not that I'm complaining; I'd rather use the funds to buy a center mid or two (although I do think we need another striker, unless we plan on changing formations, which seems likely the way we're going after Hazard/Kagawa).
Drogba would not like to be a bit-part player IMO.

Thank you!
I suppose so but I don't think it would happen.
Fergie is building for future
Yeah – but he does like a deal/bargin
Surely Owens and Berbas wages would free up some room for him
Then swap Park for Kagawa
Promote Fryers to cover Evra
Clyne and Rafael competing for right back
Then another centre mid like Stroomen/Martinez/Modric
He was pretty usless in the CL final aside from his goal obviously. His workrate was non existant and there were far far better Chelsea players on display too.
He spent most of the game walking and letting everyone else do the work. I can't remember him pressing a defender once tbh
Might be a fitness issue I guess but would rather keep Berba than let him go and sign Drogs
no because vidic would beat him up
I'd hate to see that guy in a United shirt. He was a top player no doubt, but as a person and the way he often conducted himself on the pitch epitomises much I dislike.
In my mind it's almost like asking if I'd like to see Terry in a United shirt.
I will admit I was pretty hammered before/during and after the final so my memory of the game is pretty blurry, I just remember his goal, he was tracking back to give the penalty away but then of course he scored the winning penalty.
Macca – Berba would give us the same work rate (i.e. none) and less of a goal threat!
Drogba is a proper target man that a Rooney/hazard/Kagawa would love to play behind – his hold up play is superb and he would give them plenty of space to operate in. Ok hes not as good as he was but we would be looking to use him for FA Cup/Premiership games rather than games against Europes best
Lol – little pea. I agree sometimes he oversteps the mark but only in assort of “gamesmanship” way. I don’t think he’s ever done something horrible off the field (as a far as im aware) the way Terry has.
Droga is frustrating yes but when he was feigning and diving against barca and all their players were moaning I admit I was loving it!
If he was demanding a length of contract with wages even Chelsea do not deem reasonable, I'm sure we'd be nowhere near.

I think that's being harsh. Though he has been embroiled in a few controversies, he is no John Terry.
He donates large amounts to charity, and seems like quite a humble guy.

Depending on where we were in the window - if in pre-season, Rooney or Wells picked up a seriouse injury and time was short to fill the hole, then i take him in a heart beat!
