HB!
interesting to see you here.
The exouds has been well-documented both on v2 and here, but in short Tenez got banned as I believe had a spat with Gav (one of the mods who apparently had to resign for the collossal mess he created due to his immaturity). To the best of my knowledge some Nadal moaning-minines moaned to him so he caved in and banned Tenez.
I then left as well as in all honesty it has always felt s bit stifling/heavy/handed and overbearing over there.
The only reason I got back the first time I volunatrily left was because a lot of posters sent me PMs , so I caved in.
I think I got banned because Gav lied how I sent people PMs urging them to come here, which is a complete lie, but there you go.
I enjoy fresh air here, ant although there are not that many people around during the quieter weeks, it's not bad for the early rounds
Posters here are a bit more mature and level-headed than on v2.
The funniest bit is that those same people who moaned and asked Tenez to be banned come here regularly under various different user names and continue to moan....unbelievable!
I don't know what's worse Nadal's tennis or Nadal's fans to be honest
I didn't know you were going to RG, lucky you!
Enjoy yourself BIG time for this Nole fan....and should my man win or play when you watch, you 've got to cheer for him
Do send us a report or two from the grounds, it would be great
Who do you think his favourite, Rafa, with his various RGs, being the current champion, with his 2 wins in a row against Djokovic and being the best player on clay this season....
or Djokovic, given his previous 6-7 in a row streak against Rafa, his no 1 status and winning the last three slams...?
It's not a straight-forward answer, Nadal knows and owns the turf, comes back to it with just enough confidence due to Rome win not to be too nervous as he must have been last year.
Nole: hungriest of them all, he wants it badly. He's got the game to beat Nadal, it's over 5 sets.
I'd split the odds 55% Novak 45% Nadal.
he,he, look what I stumbled on just looking at EPO in tennis...

HB! good to have ya on board sunny, can you guess who i am on 606v2?
Hello HB, very nice to see you here!
I have not stopped posting on v2 either although - for variety of reasons - I have been posting more here.
This place is certainly smaller than v2 at the moment. If for no other reason then simply out of curiosity about internet dynamics in action, I am quite interested to see whether or not it will grow over time. I would say so far it has not done too badly. Before the recent influx, the tennis section was literally deserted - I think there may have been perhaps two posts in the three week span just prior to the influx. It has certainly grown a bit since then. One way to see it is to look at the number of "ratings" that each article is given. At first, articles would be getting maybe 1-2 ratings, then some would get 3-4 and by now I think the recent max is over 10.
I remember that you are going to RG - I still remember how you explained that regardless of who wins it will be special - very true that explanation of yours. I am jealous. Have never been to either RG or Wimbledon but I imagine they both must have very special atmosphere.
welcome HB, it will be really good to have you here unlike you I cannot post on v2 as I have also been banned from there
Keep posting as you too seem to have quite a balanced view, I have read your posts on MTL and 606 and they are always good to read.
Good to see HB here. Welcome!
HB - What makes you think I have not balanced views about Nadal? Do I describe his game wrongly? I know his game and tactics better than his own fans. I have much more balanced views on him than HE or HaddieNuff could ever have.
That is where you started to go wrong on V2 imo. Cause you believe there is a fence between Federer and Nadal and sitting on it makes you "balanced" or "fair".
It's not how it works! Nadal is an extremely popular player and in that respect he has done lots of good for tennis. I have never said otherwise. But there is an other side that people, those same people he brings in, simply don;t want to see which is pretty terrible for the sake of the sport. I can only talk about the obvious side (time taking, MTO, seasonal performances) . But those are already extreme behaviours, more extreme than my views. He plays a game that is not in the rules but his popularity prevents referees and the system to enforce them. But not only that we saw that the system was keen to facilitate his success by slowing down courts and rigging draws.
He or his popularity turns a sport into a circus.he abuses it wanting to change the schedule to suit him, asking to change the ranking system so he can benefit longer, and wants of course to legalise on court coaching, extending time and so on....so that his his physical game can thrive over any talented player.
So before you say my views are not "balanced" try to understand what I am talking about. The press is catching up with what I have been saying for years. Wait until Nadal slips down teh ranking and they will talk more openly about it.
"That is where you started to go wrong on V2 imo. Cause you believe there is a fence between Federer and Nadal and sitting on it makes you "balanced" or "fair"."
Yes Tenez is very fair on Nadal
Welcome here HB.
I'm going to send you an inbox on v2, pity we don't have an inbox facility on here.
I thought you were banned on v2
How many IDs do you have Amri, and how do you keep up with all your "selves"
Btw,
that was a super post from Tenez up there!
Thanks NITB.
Still good to read here HB.
It is.
One day, when Nole retires, I'm going to be level-headed and "balanced", I'm already choking at the though
Well you can always lose your head if a player comes along with outstanding skills. I woudl have never become tennis forum addict without Federer. I will certainly blame him for that. I was a big fan of Goran, Rios Medvedev but there was not enough from them to get me to post about tennis.
His game is just out of this world. To have both so much talent and composure to execute it in the toughest circumstances is really outstanding.
For now people cannot quite see it cause they look at teh opposition who have made him a bit more human thanks to again outstanding fitness. But when they will realise what he did, essentially with his talent as main weapon, they will remember him with much more respect than they see him now.
Without him, We woudl have had 10 years of physical DHBHers rule the tennis world and I certainly would not have bothered watching much yet comment on it.
I know.
I think he is appreciated and loved by most tennis fans.
That's why they cheer for him all over the world now.
He is a dying breed and will be missed hugely when he's gone.
I would have never become a forum addict (funny, I actually literally admitted to being an addict to my self last nigh, that's how caught up I've been with it ) without Nole.
It's a fine thing, letting yourself go like that, but I love it!

I think Amri is not banned on v2, he just decided to follow tenez on ja606 . I don't miss v2 and it is good to see more and more posters migrating here.
I can't say I miss v2 either but having more posters means more subjects created to discuss about.
And there are still some very good posters on v2. Hopefully, we will see them here one day. We just need Amri, HE, Haddie-Nuff and others to post more on V2. They are like forum torpedos!
"And there are still some very good posters on v2"
yes, but I don't expect one of them you liked to come here.
