club again over estimated their "appeal" after another season of falling short.
sad but true, we have been here before..
do fair weather/one off supporters pay a small fortune to watch town play at wembley in this time of austerity or not..
not, appears to be the answer..
I dont know about the blades having all the pressure but this clearly shows dean that this is the time to get up...
The omens for gates next season in the 3rd division are not good..
maybe they will allow you to "pass the smaller children" over the turnstiles like it used to be at leeds road???
or you could get in to see the second half of the second half free when they opened the gates???
The appeal for northern clubs to travel that distance and pay those prices has certainly gone out of the window..
quite rightly...its just a big stadium called wembley with none of the pull or the charm... maybe if we can ever put a "proper" england team in it again it might regain that allure???
What a flippin' farce !!
1st the club say they do not have the capacity to sell 33,000 tickets in 10 days, so subcontract the job to Ticketmaster with the fans paying £3 per ticket !
Then , after pressure from the fans, the club finally sort out a 'football special' train...now full with 500 fans.
Then after massively overestimating demand the club announce tickets (minus £3 fee) are now available from the ticket office..Presumably not all the 12,000 unsold tickets with only one day to sell them ??
Now, it's pay at the gate on the day (minus £3 booking fee).
Town did pretty much the same with the home leg against MKDons, pushing tickets sales and announcing high demand to get fans to pay beforehand...then it's pay on the day as there are 8,500 empty seats in the Stadium !
Who is making the decisions down there ?
To me, they are worryingly out of touch, and not in tune at all with us fans...
Neither team selling out is a joke.
Horrendous miscalculation by the Authorities...
Bit like ticket price hike at Bramall Lane which Town fans also boycotted ?
Still it give you all something to have a good moan about
Aye, am not one of them that just sits on my rse and does nowt about things...Sean Jarvis will hopefully rethink the strategy 'next time', to the benefit of everybody perhaps..
If that's a moan, cool...am happy with that
never recieved any answers from the club..
deano being on his bike might be the "excuse"..
i do hope that the play off finals are undersold badly for next season as well and that the fa come to realise we dont all live south of watford and we really dont see wembley as a big "stage" anymore..
the blades will either play or not, however many fans they have..
town will either play or not, however many fans we are outnumbered by..
66,000 at arsenal, 5000 town fans and we outplayed them..
we have since virtually outnumbered a few of the league teams at their own grounds and failed to turn up and play at all..
am sure Larry will have the lads well up for this one...not least because it's a big test of his own abilities now that he's proved he can get the team going a bit now..
Am still hoping the Blades have a really bad day though
Whoa betide anybody that has a beef of anysort with what is happening at Town,, Cos Boris will seek you out. Everythings rosy in the Entwistle garden.
Not rosy , i just live in the real world and knew exactly what was coming in terms of costs. since we've qualified for wembley we've heard nothing but moaning. ticket prices ,booking fees, cost of getting there, price of food, price of programmes, choice of pubs. no doubt people will sit on there hands Andy nothing and then moan about the lack of atmosphere. people need to get a grip
You need to get a grip,,, What was one of your comments "everyone can afford" ??,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, So in your eyes the tickets are not too pricey, Ticketmaster was not a cop out,, Our allocated pubs are not poor compared to what they could be ?, As my landlord buddy from the smoke said "Its common knowledge the Green Mans landlord is Sheffield, And as the Sheff landlord said to my mate "I know its barmy, You should have had the Torch at least" ,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Real world is that the average man cannot afford what you think he can, Better things to spend the hard earned on,,, Ticket sales for both clubs prove as much.
smack 'im one El boy !
He's one of them Tory toffs I reckon, no comprehension of the real world they haven't...UTT
We'll all have a cracking time when we get there....
4-2 to Town !!

I think ticket prices are ok actually.
We still haven't sold out the cheapest seats £34/44 which is only a £4 increase on last season final at Old Trafford. This is hardly a bank breaking increase.
I 've told you all along that Town can't cope selling all these tickets, we can have the biggest ticket office in the world but the staff just aren't good enough to cope. Aside from that we had the same costs of booking fees and postage last season.
Pubs, who really cares who got what pub, London is a big place and there is enough pubs to go around for everyone. It doesn't matter if you're getting dropped off at Wembley or into the main train stations thier will be enough fans from both clubs to create a decent atmosphere.
Jacko- What has politics got to do with a football match?
dunno...?
is it a trick question ?
Inter - surprised you care mate, what with your special ticketing arrangements! What time does the helicopter pick you up? Just so I can move the Grim-mobile.....
Some on here are turning into bitter & twisted moaning tw-ats.....
Sorry, no, you've always been like this.......
I remember simular tripe from you after the Bury game at home last August...Nowt but doom n' gloom all season....
We've got to the play off final at Wembley, (against a side that was wrongly relegated form the prem just 5 years ago), when back in August you were all predicting we were worse than ever.....
Shut the fe-ck up lads....
Keep Calm and Carry On!
Either support the lads whole heartedly, or go watch rugby or bowls or somat.....
UTT...
Does anyone know were the nearest bowling green is?
myth ur one of the worst moaners going wonder you not planning on kidnapping grayson and slitting his throat!
Boris has a point .. Well 8 actually .. .. and £3 quid shouldn't be seen as a deal breaker for anyone .. No matter how many times its multiplied by ..
As an ex Scalper (friend of) ~ I can tell you now ~ there'll be tickets galore from Independent W/end Break & Coach companies who've taken a punt and not sold out .. There'll be guys there who'se mates didn't quite wake up in time from Various Friday nite Psss ups .. All looking to offload ..
Just listen out for the plaintiff cry .. 'Anyone Need Tickets' .. !!!!!!!!
No two ways about it the 88 quidders will be swopping palms for £35 Trust me .. ..
Tez, I never moan about the lads on the field...
(Well apart from Alan Lee's first season..)
My only gripe was mainly Lee Clark's "Ides Of March" style departure.....
I read some of the stuff on here, and it's just like listening the all the old women in the Hairdresser's on a Friday, when I used to go with me mum when I was about 3...
Stop moaning about : -
Match ticket prices
Coach travel
Train costs
Postage costs
Town taking less fans
Blades taking more fans..
Trust me the only things you should moan about on Saturday are: -
The flat pre-poured ale they serve in the ground, and how itchy them blo-ody blue and white wigs are...
Other than that, you'll be fine...
Grim,
I was thinking about the "ommoners" on this one mate. No helicopter picking me up, but Tez is, so I'm hoping the street come out of their houses to wave me orf
