Can't remember who but a poster wrote my article last night that he watched vertonghen live yesterday and was very unimpressed
Chronic was it that bloke who lives in Belgium ?,who says he has a Spurs season ticket.
I dont think Unvini is a spurs player any more. his load expired at the end of the season, and so far as i know we didnt take our option to buy him at the end of the loan/
Gio should feature against Wales tomorrow in the US. Bale is out injured. Still more interesting than England though.
As far as im aware Uvinis transfer is a formality...the loan deal was not to dis-similar to a pre contract being signed. He has looked off the pace to be honest from what I see.
I watched the game last night as the missus is a Belgian, so we have Belgian TV. And all I can say I wasn't overly impressed with Vertongen but he did a job and looked far more composed than the other CB. He didn't offer anything going forward from corners though but did produce one or two nice through balls.
The thing that stood out the most for me was that Hazard is an arrogant who seems to believe he's much better than the rest of the team. Frequently took on too many players and lost the ball, tried fancy tricks and got found out and took long wild shots that had no chance. He did nothing in defence that I can recall all game.
He's a luxury player, similar to Robinho from what I saw and I think he'll be frustrating for whoever signs him. I think all the Prem teams chasing him have better backup already, or could draft in someone better for half the money.
But that was just one game against Montenegro.
Fellaini was the stand out player for Belgium, though Blackburn's Vucevic was on fire!
And for Chelsea fans Courtois went off injured early in the second half, De Bruyne and Lukaku didn't feature, overall impression from my Belgians friends who watch the league week in week out is that Lukaku is ridiculously over-hyped and Chelsea were mugged off big time.
