The Man City takeover took around 24hrs to complete.
We're beginning to sound like old Wendy fans!

I wish I could just switch off from it all till next season.

But I can't.

Leeds South - if you believe that you will believe anything. My guess is it took a lot longer than that to sign everything over to the new owners of City. Days if not weeks of behind the scenes stuff will have gone on before things were sorted.

Stoopo.
Sky confirmed it all within 24 hrs.
I remember it as clear as day.
All the Wendy fans were in up roar at the time as their board used to say it took weeks/months to complete a takeover.

It doesn't really take that long.
If someone is interested & they have the money readily available it should get wrapped up quickly!

The procedure for any takeover/buyer is,

The books need to be checked first, loopholes are looked for and, in some cases found.

Hidden problems, debts, suspicious dealings and on goings need to be found, if any.

Accountants go through the books and paperwork like a tooth comb looking for anything hidden, hiding or not in order.

When accountants aren't happy, chances are buyers don't buy.

This all takes time behind the scenes, finalisations of transactions, signing documents and contracts etc can take a further 24 hours.

southy - you really do live in cloud cuckoo land if you think a takeover of any company can be done in 24 hours, for a start it would probably take a week for the lawyers to contact each other and then they would string it out as long as possible to milk maximum cash from the deal, just because the papers dont get to know dont mean nothings happening

"Hidden problems, debts, suspicious dealings and on goings need to be found." A takeover of Leeds could take years then

Eric - I didn't say any of that. Only the first line introducing the quote was mine - the rest of it is all Dan of TSB's quote.
