The FA has previous with Queens Park Rangers over the course of the last campaign with Shaun Derry not getting his red card rescinded following Ashley Young's act of simulation at Old Trafford.

Act of simulation dive dive dive.

Seriously, why is this on the man u page.

I thought it was scousers who clutched at straws

The FA decided a ban would not be a punishment as it would just give Tevez an excuse to go to Argentina to improve his golf (:

Have listened to fans before their team plays us saying things like target baloteli he will get himself sent off.

When a city player winds up a known an convicted thug, who then disgraces himself acting like a proper loon and then lying on twitter about, we read the moan u fans saying he should have been banned by the Fa

The same Fa that went to bat for Rooney when he got sent off for a bartonesque moment of thuggery to lower his international ban.

Why is this in danger of turning into a City v United debate?

United have nothing to do with this. Irrespective of whether United fans comment on it or not.

Ok, they may say that had Tevez been sent off the game would have had a different outcome. That's a theoretical that is easily countered - that is, it's just as easy to say that City would have still won the game had Tevez been sent off as well as Barton.

No one can deny either possibility, rendering either possibility moot. Rendering any debate in this respect pointless.

And which ultimately renders this thread pointless. Barton was sent off. Tevez wasn't. Retrospective comment/action (either officially or unofficially) doesn't matter. And that's ultimately the problem with retrospective action. By its very definition, all it will ever do is affect future events, not change what actually did happen. And for that reason it's bull.

If the ref saw it but didn't punish it, the FA can't do anything. However, the ref says he didn't see it, so the FA should look at it, and if they deem it serious enough, dish out a retrospective red card.

I'd love to see this 'footage', every video I've seen has been inconclusive x

I agree, I haven't seen anything in the replays that shows anything different to two players battling for the ball then one player elbows the other in the throat before losing it big time.

Fellow Utd fans, we are in no position to complain about other Clubs players not being punished.

he wont even be at City next season so why does it matter ?

posted on 28/5/12

tevez did nothing other than try to get barton out of his face
bartons always been treated well at man city
next time he turns up he should get the respect he deserves

Jedward, I think all Barton was doing was trying get Tevez out of his face and Aguero out of his way so that he could get off the pitch. He was not trying to head butt Kompany but trying to hear what he was saying to him as hes a bit hard of hearing.

It's true, apparently the BBC and Sky said he's so ugly it's frightening their viewers so unless he goes they wont show any more Man. City games.

QPR players are so violent, the BBC and Sky will only screen their games after 11.00pm.

But he's already started playing for City again so where does it say that he will not be at City next season? Please try harder.
