Hope we do get him. Its getting frustrating seeing everybody else sign players. Can see you easily pushing for promotion this year.
Question though....... should for some reason you fail to go up this year do you think that the people who took you over will bail or do they seem the loyal type?
Hopefully we will be up there fighting with you and derby will be languishing at the bottom
I don't see them bailing, they seem to be in it for the long run and have made certain moves and decisions to back that train of thought.
That said I believe they would consider it an epic fail if we don't go up this season.
And so we should buy Routledge to help us to the promised land!
you never know what may happen though. money doesnt gurantee anything in this game
however i would suprised if you wern't at least in the running for auto promotion come the final 5 games.
gonna be a cracker of a season, i hope
Haven't looked forward to a season so much in a long time. Exciting times.
probs wont hear if from many reds but best of luck this year except when you play us
Same to you chap, makes a change to come across a forest fan not full of it!
got nothing to be full of mate until 28th April when where hopefully celebrating promotion ahah
Hats off to you B_Block_Red - Nice to hear sensible comments from a Forest Fan - as Doctor Fox says it makes a change
Wrote this on a previous thread; A week or so ago, Rob Tanner (Leicester Mercury writer) stated that Sven was given the option of putting in a bid for Routledge but 'wasn't interested'.
I'm guessing he will be looking for the full backs to push up; good job he has purchased/is trying to purchase quick ones then! With the way we play, I think I would agree that we would struggle to accomodate an out and out winger on a regular basis and not sure Routledge would be happy to sit on the bench.
Agreed KTF. There's no hint in signings to date that Sven is building a 4-4-2 with midfield wings, even though that's his instinctive style.
Come on Sven let's get him and then we can all laugh at our poor little neighbours and their sub standard ex England manager!

B Block red
hang your head in shame tosh and dribble this guy is spouting.
Mclaren ex England manager with morals
Sven ex England manager who can be bought with a gold coin no loyallty, bailed out of notts c. as soon as he thought his gold purse had been taken away. He will go in a flash Fester
Am I alone in thinking something doesn't feel right about this one?
£2m for Routledge in the current market? Or is it just us who are being expected to pay over the odds?!!!
I'm baffled to why we're not interested. 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 or whatever, we are lacking pace + a final ball as a package and Routledge offers that. He has torn championship defences to shreds in the last 2 seasons.
He would be a very good addition and I think we are making a mistake.
"Mclaren ex England manager with morals

Because you guys aren't paying McClaren, right?
I think we all know the real difference between the two…
Sven: England manager in charge of two World and one European campaigns; qualified for all three; got out of the group stage in all three; got into the last eight of all three.
Wally: England manager in charge of one European campaign; did not qualify.
You're right about him having 'morals' though. Here are a couple…
Moral 1: When taking the stance 'The England team needs an English manager', make sure there's one capable of doing the job available.
Moral 2: If there isn't, at least have the common sense to classify Martin O'Neill as naturalised English.

I like to think I'm down with the kids and so I'd like to sum up your comment as....."Fourbells bin MERKED!"
Very good old chap
Sven-Goran Eriksson has a year left on his contract and an option for another two years.
He is ready to build the Leicester to a big club in the Premiership - for several years beyond option years.
- I am ready to stay here long. Taken from his interview in Sweden. Yea Fourbells your so in the know.
On the other hand-
McClaren - Market moves vital
Forest boss airs frustration at lack of transfer activity.
Sounds like Billy doesnt it?
Sven puts money before everything else, like it or not,he had already agreed to go to a club before lester stepped in with a bigger money offer,so he blew them out.
He is on a 2 year big money boom or bust contract, let's see what happens if you do not get promoted this comming season.
Everybody knows Sven is the management equivalent of the money mercenary player.
Nice interview that mate! not as good as the one he gave to that fake sheikh though
Like all the fake sheikh's victims he got duped because the reporter knew he could play on their greed to get them to open up.
Why the interest Bertie? We're not your rivals so toddle off and talk about making pies for your latest 'big' signing!
I've never known Forest fans go so many posts without saying "we won the European Cup, you know". They must be really, *really* narked.
Fatfox,
lester are already as close to a European Cup as they are ever likely to be,you border Nottingham
There's a European Cup mention for you
So then fester fans, where do you think your new found fortune puts you in the english league sides rich list.
1. Man city
2. Chelski
3.Fester
