For goodness sake, will we ever sign anyone!

Podolski?

Jamie Sanderson ran the Young Guns Blog, normally very good source.

Also it's about someone other than Arsenal signing someone so I'm more inclined to believe it.

Yes, and I'm more positive than anyone about Podolski but we are running out of available top class players!

The point is frog that you are saying

"For goodness sake, will we ever sign anyone!"

when we are the only club who HAS signed anyone - obviously hazard to chelsea will be done in a day or two at most, but jeez! there are over 2 months to go till the season starts yet - and as ever, we are highly unlikely to be after anyone that our competitors are.

Sorry mate, but this is the problem with Arsenal fans at the moment. As soon as a rival club buys a player, we generally whinge at not having been active in the market.

Although i agree on us having to strengthen, i don't like the knee-jerk reaction to fans.

No bid for Kagawa at all?

Just wow

I think a deal for M'Vila is still possible, but if you were expecting a summer full of Arsenal transfers, it looks like you'll be disappointed.

We need to get van Persie to sign a new contract, add an experienced back up for Szczesny, then unless someone catches Wenger's eye at the Euros that he thinks he can get on the cheap, that will conclude our business I'd imagine.

I thought with the major sponsorship renewals coming up in 2014, this might be the summer where we went for it a bit more than we have done of late. It's still early days and that could still happen of course, but I'll admit I'm less confident it will now.

There's no we'd be able to get him over United though. United will probably pay him loads as his shirt sales will cover the cost, we'd breach our wage cap matching it which would open up a whole world of trouble.

According to jamie sanderson - as much as he gets the goss sometimes, he is also very wrong sometimes.

I have no idea if we have made a bid or not, but i have seen sanderson get enough things very wrong in the past to know to not take his word as gospel. (2 years ago he claimed we'd tied it all up to sign hazard)

I blame many years of rubbish transfers for my negative attitude, I hope Wenger pulls one out the bag, but with the Euros driving up prices, I can really seen us not signing anyone top quality and going for some cheap reject!

*There's no way we'd...

We don't need Kawaga. Of course I would love to have him in our squad but I think Our priority must be a proper Playmaker(Rare and hard to find), M'Villa and getting RVP to sign new contract which I m very positive about.
Also more signings needed depending in how many and who we get rid of. Maybe Grioud to replace Chamakh.

I think the problem is that our rivals, who were already way above us, are further strengthening their teams.

I can just see Arsenal being left behind!

as are we. Again - we are the only club to have a player actually signed, sealed and delivered.

We can't go on like this the whole summer... as soon as there are strong links of a player, any player, going to a club, any club and we get articles like this. On this occasion, all this is coming from a single tweet from a single blogger!

Which is one of the reasons I wanted Chelsea to win in Munich. They were always going to strengthen and even had they not had Champions League football to offer next season, I dare say they would have pulled off at least one if not two major signings.

Tough as this is to swallow, City, Chelsea and Utd are not our main rivals anymore.

Tottenham and Liverpool - and possibly Newcastle now too - are.
