How embarrassing for the mens team if England`s women win the world cup!
Most male football fans in England hate women`s football because in their minds it feminizes male football if women play it. They feels somewhat threatened by it. That`s why you will rarely have a male football fan say anything good about women`s football in England.
However in Germany where the WC is being played in the group games there was over 50,000 in the stadiums, some as high as 70,000. This includes male football fans, so i`m afraid England has a long long way to go before the male football fans grow up and accept women`s football.
Yeah, the crowds are big and vocal.
If you sit far enough away from the telly you could quite easily mistake the women for the men. But closer up, the women seem far more composed on the ball, able to spot a pass and keep the ball rather than whacking it up front.
Hope Powell to replace Capello! Forget about old Arry Innit Cor Blimey I'm in the Papers Innit Redknapp.
Well, I'm watching the England v France quarter final (admittedly only 10 mins in) and England look slow, devoid of ideas and unable to pass straight. Looks just like England's men's team.
Must be the worst substitutions ever!
Not so different from the mens team at all. Overly hyped by the English clueless media. Talking about them winning it. Then pumped out by another European team on penalties. Funny as tbh!
I guess we can rule out players having too much money at club level and so not caring about the national team, as to the reason why we underperform so badly, since the women must hardly get paid anything.
