I bet he's regretting doing a no-show for Lille last year! poor guy!
Still don't understand what the hell Wenger was thinking signing this clown. From day 1 it was obvious he would struggle at Championship level never mind Champions League level.

Wenger did say he'll wrtite a book about last summer transfer window, once he retire! Sure there will be a chapter about Park!
Can't wait to read it!
Weird signing not to mention being a total waste of - fervently accrued - money by the manager.
Feel sorry for Park though? Nope.
He bit off more than he was capable of chewing and effed himself up, no one else to blame... apart from Arsene, maybe...
Bad show by our club and, alas, our player, that.
Wenger ruined his career!
@ Batmanu
What? are u serious? How can u judge him when he not even played more than 5 games ?? started only 2 out of those 5 may be?? it's tad harsh...something is not right for sure...there must be reason why he didn't get opportunity ( yes I know RVP reason) but apart from that I am saying.
Pete are you taking the píss? He played as a striker and was cráp at it. Funny how the 'out of position' defence doesn't work for you when we are talking about Arshavin, a considerably better player than the joke you are defending!
get rid of RVP and give Park a chance
Cash in on RVP and play Podli + Park + Dempsey..
I'm pretty sure he just didn't impress in training and it was soon apparent to Wenger that he wasn't Arsenal quality.
He was definitely a panic buy at the end and probably one of the only available strikers.
Also there was his famous adaption period, maybe he never adjusted to life in England.
I don't blame him though, he probably just wasn't cut out for this level!

Agree with Pete, Park's a poor mans Chicharito
Arshavin, Vela, Eduardo and even Sanchez Watt have all spearheaded our 4-3-3 and have looked far better than Park. Park was an absolute joke whenever he played for us.
Gotta feel sorry for the guy, pretty much had his career ruined this year, obviously was a panic buy who was simply just not good enough.

You must be kidding. The least you can expect from professionals earning obscene wages in this sport is for them to fight for their place in the team and work for the team, rather than spit your dummy out when you get dropped. The guy is a tool and it showed right from the Lille saga.
I saw a picture of the Arsenal bench when RVP scored the equaliser against Spurs. Every single Arsenal player and member of staff were on their feet, Park just sat there not giving a fúck.

They have all played the lone striker roll at least once in their Arsenal career and have all looked miles better than Park. You know it is true so why deny it
I don't blame him about the Lille saga, Arsenal came calling and we are a a very big club.
He said himself he couldn't believe that Arsenal had contacted him so of course he wanted to come to us.
This shows initially he was very enthusiastic to join and play for Arsenal. Something clearly went wrong at his time at the club which I put down to lack of quality.
Just because you get paid obscene wages doesn't make you a better player in the slightest especially when you have quality such as RVP ahead of you, no matter how hard you work!
The argument that he didn't play enough for us to judge him is ridiculous, if he was below Chamakh in the pecking order it must be because he was krap in training, Weneger realised this, and knew that he was nowhere near PL, let alone Arsenal, quality. A really poor buy, Wenger is extremely frustrating here. I'm by no means one of 'Wenger out' brigade, but he does need to sort himself out in the transfer market, for just a couple of million more we could of brought in some quality cover for RVP, but instead he constantly looks for cheaper, sub-standard alternatives.

Velaa is so medicore. We should sale him ..and I wil pack d bags for Bendtnerr and Chamakhh. I can drive all of them to airport or their new clubs
Can't believe you clowns sticking up for Park.
Arsene bought a cheap dud.
Get the f__k over it.
The question is then, why was he playing out of position? It was either becuse Wenger realised that he wouldn't be able to cut it in the main striker role at this level, or Wenger was being tactically inept, insisting on playing him out of position. Someone must have been at fault.
