Has he???
He fell out with the board for the same reason Holt did which is more likely why he is leaving Norwich.
Surprised if he does go the Villa though, MON will be able to tell him how that club is run!!
Very true and I hope its just speculation, just papers talking and another ''Redknap'' story that is used to wrap chips.
If he and the club are having issues then maybe understandable but still, can't be worth having to go and manage Villa, with Yoda the yank in charge
Villa are like a black hole at the minute. They are just a selling club, intent on off-loading their best players and gettin in cheap replacements.
I fully expect them to be dragged into another relegation battle next season, and i wouldn't be surprised to see them relegated.

Have a look back at the stories when Holt first wanted to leave, part of the article I read mentioned Lambert had fallen out with them too about the same thing. It could have been a verbal agreement to increase salary or a one off bonus for staying up??
Now the media are trying to twist the fall out to being linked with the Villa job.
Don't know how he thinks he can get away with constantly offloading anyone as soon as they show any promise... Milner, Young, Downing with not a replacement in sight.

Some foreign owners see how the likes of Swansea, Norwich etc have small budgets but perform well and think they can do well without spending the money.
Lerner is basically hoping a magical manager comes in with a limited wage structure and still get them challenging for europe.
Eck had problems last season is cutting the wage bill and Villa are set to slash the wage bill again this summer, although they have got rid of high earners like Heskey & Cuellar.
I wonder if Villa will have to sell or will be able to get anybody else in?
villa aint nothing like the club you guys make out, ok we've just had our worse season in history on premier league football thanks to McCleish and so did liverpool under Dog-leash.
one season dont make these club less attractive over night does it guys. villa is a very good club and for Lambert it will prove to good to turn down.
If Lambert jumps ship as well as Holt then that's that for Norwich as a Premier League club.
Norwich are a progressive club. Villa are heading in the opposite direction.
No offense but what ambitions do Villa have that Norwich don't, making it 'to good to turn down'??
The way it appears both clubs are perfectly happy to operate within a limited budget, aim for premier league safety, and if things work out maybe get into the top half.
With the likes of Man U, City, Chelsea, Tottenham, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Newcastle all pushing, Villa definitely aren't a top 6 club.

I live in Birmingham & have loads of Villa mates so I know exactly what the club is like.
McCleish was just a patsy for Lerners cost cutting excercise.
MON saw the writing on the wall when Milner was sold and they got Ireland in return with none of the money to buy his own players.
You cut costs again last season and just a few months ago the club were saying there would need to be a further cut in players wage bill.
Unless you get a decent manager with a decent transfer & wage budget you will be struggling for years to come.
Mibbees someone will pay £15million for Agbonlahor
Villa are a huge club going through a bad spell, every club has one, even Celtic did..
Norwich did well do go as far as they did, but Villa consistantly in the top league
Define 'Huge club' please
Norwich had the season from heaven no chance they will repeat that.
Villa are and EPL club and Lambert would be crazy to turn it down.
Rememeber its not that long ago he was washed up at Livy
Take the dosh Paul and give it a go
