I'd seen this sort of competition on the old 606 many a time but never took part (actually I thought they would be too complicated - they're not tho). But had a go on one on here, met amongst others Number 21 - who happens to be a great lad and now I've caught the bug.

I would really like to think that in Number 21 & I you have 2 lads who will always be about and active

That seems to be the pattern

Problem with the dutch is that the top 3/4 players cost so much - so you can pretty much buy the squad bar the likes of Van Persie, Robben etc.

Having said that I do like a Belgian defence - Kompany (I wish), Vermaelen, Vertonghen and Alderwiereld are all class

Good midfielders too Mertens, Defour, Hazard, Witsel.

I think some for of Dutch/Belgian and a few Germans is my likely plan.

Need to be more clued in from the off - I tried to build a team straight away last time + that doesn't really happen till you get a chance to release players. I ended up over paying for some players and letting others go too cheaply. I sold Bale for 25M and the next sold him on for 40M - although having said that I think that it was more than the next person had a great deal and I got an okay one
