Dont know yet, alot of games been effected by this so think just deduct 3 pts from lyon will be enough

posted on 10/7/12

Technically, the only game that has been affected is the one between Lyon and Leverkusen because that is an illegitimate game.

IMO, replaying the match is the fairest solution..

Its been two weks that has been effected not just your game

400 WORD LIMIT STARTS NOW:

We want to play open football and get the ball to the winger and our attackers. With us being at home we need to take confidence from our win last weekend and take that into this game with a similar performance.

Lloris - I want Lloris to command his area collecting everything he can get and making himself big for 1v1's.

Alba and Lichsteiner - 2 full backs who like to attack as well as defend so when they get he chance I want them to flood the wings forcing players out of position and pushing the wingers back so they can't cause any damage. I also want them to stop the wingers from getting past them with an early tackle.

Godin and M'Bia - They are up against Cisse this weekend who again isnt the best striker in the league but is a threat and can score goals from almost anywhere so we need to mark him tight and not allow him to turn. We also need to get the tackles in on him to stop him from being in a 1v1 with Lloris.

Inler and Vidal - Up against Grenier and Modric. We need them to stop the force of Modric in midfield by closing him down quickly and winning the ball. With our midfielder being the stronger we need to use this to our advantage by spreading passes to the wingers, looking for the attackers and playing through balls.

Mertens and Vucinic - I want Mertens and Vucinic to drive at both the full backs as Cissokho and Debuchy aren't that good and are beatable. I want them to use their pace to get around the full backs and draw them into making fouls. Once the booking is recieved hen I want them to reallt drive at them and make themselves unstopable. Put ueful crosses into the attackers and play balls through.

Lamela - Force a defender to pull out of position to close him down leaving Cavani in a 1v1 against the defender. Try to look for Cavani if in good space and through balls are useful. Also look for the wingers when needed if there is no other option take some shots from distance as well but make sure they are on target and they will test the goalkeeper.

Cavani - The same performance as last week. Get into useful areas and make runs over the top. Make himself hard to mark by moving around a lot. Use his strength to hold off defenders and fire som shots in at the goalkeeper. When he gets 1v1 chances I don't expect him to miss any.

SUBS:

If winning (60 mins):

Cavani Off - On Soldado - Give Cavani a rest for the bigger games and give Soldado a chance, same performance as last time from Soldado.

Inler Off - On Gonalons - A fresh pair of legs in midfield and rest Inler for the bigger games.

If drawing (70 mins):

Lamela Off - On Soldado - Play 4-4-2 with Cavani and Soldado as strikers and save Lamela's energy for bigger games.

If losing (65 mins):

Mertens Off - On Soldado - Soldado go up front with Cavani whilst Vucinic pushes up front

A personal take - obviously Liverpool should keep Alba, and the later transaction between Lrf and whomever exchanged Vidal and Alba should be void.

However, if Lrf genuinely did not know that Alba had joined Liverpool when he tried to sign him himself then he to an extend is an innocent party also. Although you could say as an organiser Lrf should be aware of all transfers I suspect that he did not realise.

The fault really lies on the person who sold Alba twice, and as that person is no longer in the competition blame is almost impossible to give on anyone in the competition.

I suggest you replay the Lrf v GMW fixture, reverse the Alba/Vidal deal and let this be a warning to everyone that they must update their pages.

I think that unless there was prior knowledge on Lrf's account - which I don't believe for one moment there would be then a deduction is harsh - but a voided transaction and replayed match is fair + that avoids any action that could cause further issues now or later down the line.

Welshy, when did you join this league?

I was in it from the start but withdrew - hence the article often appears in my timeline so I read it.

But being a co-organiser on another league I have an interest in other leagues purely as an observer.

You have to make the best out of a difficult situation, and move on straight away - you don't want this issue dragging on and being brought up again towards the end of the season when points are crucial in the title race.

Things happen, it's how you swiftly put it back together that matter.

The only fixture involved is Lrf and GMW so that is the one you fix, either now or at the end of the season.

Agree with everything you've said. It's true that LRF had no knowledge of the transfer so he should not receive the blame.
