Oh well p!shy will be here the noo...............Gowteam , mind and say hello to them.
I agree OP. When you see it written down like that, it's a total witch hunt.
And before the eejits start on what we've done - this is not the punishment for any of that, we've not been found guilty of any of it yet.
How many clubs could survive these sanctions? I don't think Reagan and Co will be happy until Rangers are put out of business. How many times have the SFA scuppered bidders with the timing of their announcements in the last couple of months?
The whole shower should resign now!!!
"The SFA did no "fit and proper" test of Whyte.".......The club didnt really do enough homework either tho and in the end Lloyds somewhat forced the sale anyway.
"They imposed a 10 point ban on Rangers"...that was the SPL, and it is standard procedure for a club going into administration, whats the problem there??
"They barred Rangers from Europe for a seasom"....that was UEFA, because we were not out of admin before ther deadline, nothing to do with the SPL/SFA, again standard UEFA rules
"They fined Rangers for "bringing the game into disrepute"....for breaking their rules, which we did.
"They banned players from signing players for a year "for bringing the game into disrepute". An illegal ban fgs!!"....we broke SEVERAL rules and did things just short of match fixing....they invented a punishment to keep us in the league because the consequences of throwing us out, in their eyes, was seen as disastrous for both them and some lesser SPL clubs. They tried to be as harsh as possible without causing themselves and other clubs huge problems...they properly fooked up by inventing this punishment up, they did this because they shat out of turfing us out, simple as.
"They started an investigation into whether they could take trophies from Rangers 10 days after administration started."..because there is a dispute over whether we broke their rules over player registration, and if we did, a lot of games we played should've ended in 3-0 defeats, that investigation is ongoing, and it should be happening if we have, AGAIN, broken the rules of the football association we are a member and play under.
"The SFA have shown bias and hatred towards Rangers."...BOLLOX!!
They have a duty as the football authorities in this country to investigate clubs that break THEIR rules, that is their job, that is what they are there for, and Rangers have broken many many rules and could be found to have broken even more.
What they shouldnt be doing is inventing punishments basically for their own gain...ie punish Rangers as hard as possible so the public and the rest of the clubs see the SFA are not going soft, but in the same vein not wanting to totally hammer Rangers and show them the door becasue they fear the consequnces of that action, even though its probably the action that should be taken for the sheer volume of rule breaking Rangers stand guilty of.
The SFA's choice of trying to find a happy medium is not bias or hatred towards Rangers....its incompetence on their part, nothing more!
The rule changes you talk about, again, is this time the SPL trying to find the happy medium instead of applying the rules already set out.
The SFA and SPL are trying to do everything they can to keep Rangers where they are while trying to punish us for what we have done at the same time......and you are calling that bias mate, no, not at all mate, its two authorities that have teh mindset that Scottish Football is dead if Rangers are not part of the SPL and SFA, thats all.
"There will be another 10,000 bears outside Hampden when they decide to suspend or expell Rangers; to quote Brian Kennedy the SFA will have "blood on their hands"....they should've done that i the first place if we have so brazenly broke their rules over such a long period of time, its called crime and punishment mate
Wish some fookin bears would wake up, I really do!!
Right, it is this simple.
Was wrong done by Rangers - yes. The club (ie Whyte, but the SPL & SFA cannot directly punish him effectively) did not pay PAYE etc for 9 months.
This caused us to go into admin for which the correct punishment was applied.
The disrepute charge was handled very badly, and we await one or more of the 4 possible sanctions to be applied - if the SFA can get it right this time.
The SPL have handled this only slightly better than the SFA, in that the SPL is only a body to manage the rules set by the 12 clubs. Their 2 contracts investigation is a complete joke, as is the latest decision to make up punishments for NewCos as they come along (that does not go down well in the CoS).
Bias - absolutely not. Nothing of the sort. "Liewell's puppets" - take a look at yourself FFS.
No bias against Rangers, just sheer incompetence from start to finish, at Ibrox board level (possible criminality aside), SFA & SPL.
Bias -
I don't like this talk of bias. Sounds a bit Tim-ish to me
Stevie - pretty much as accurate as you gonna get mate
Partick - thats why we're paranoid

Rangers' punishments haven't got anywhere near where they should be ... yet................Rangers were right to take the ban to court. It is now firmly with the SFA to decide our fate so instead of us dying a slow death with all the made up sanctions the SFA now have to back down or pull the trigger. Pull the trigger and all manner of whatsit will hit the fan. Interesting eh.

we should have mustered any dignity left lying around ibrox and kept our heads down...............Dos, fine that's one thing but getting trampled over by everybody is something else.

Dos... The Merchant of Venice ? I'm impressed .
Dos, I see where you are coming from and agree to a certain extent. Anyhoo the SFA were hoping that the transfer embargo would be accepted and everything smoothed over...well that's backfired and now they have a very tough decision to make (that's their job) but they will hide behind this 3 man INDEPENDENT panel. The SFA is useless.

"no-one likes us, we don't care"
Ahhhhh, I remember that wee ditty.
Strange what comes back to bite you in the erch, isn't it?
all this beligerance about sloping off like a punished child to div 3 and starting a fresh, its not out of dignity its out of a wish to see the rest of scottish football suffer...

Nah - Disagree Dos. If we newco, then we should go to the 3rd division. It will be far too damaging to scottish football if we newco and swan straight back into the SPL. The animosity and bitterness towards us will increase tenfold and I'm pretty sick of it as it is now.
Going to the thrid aas a newco will be damaging in the short term. Going straight back into the SPL as a newco will cause long term damage that we'll never be forgiven for. I think some fans will walk away permanently if the latter scenario happens. At least with the 3rd division option, fans will eventually go back.
