To be honest i think he owes united at least one more season, given how often he was missing both metaphorically and literally last season.

The quotes are genuine.

It seems like he's open to a move away from the club in the future.

I can't say I'm surprised as it seems like he's playing 2nd fiddle to Valencia for the right side and he's our best winger.

There's not many players as talented as Nani available. Some people it seems wouldn't mind if Nani left yet they're probably the same people crying about the club not signing enough talented players.

Hopefully he'll decide to stay for the long term but I can see him leaving after next season or the season after.

Nani simply hasnt been treated fairly at United

The fans. Despite Nani being the best winger in England over the past 2 seasons, half of our fans still dont even rate him

The manager. Nani had his best season ever last season, he was simply unstoppable and then Valencia returns and takes his place in the CL final. Even now, he cant even get in the side ahead of A.Young

Nani deserves better, he's good enough to have teams built around him and be the star man

NOOOOOO NANI CANT LEAVE!!!! He is one of the few who can create something out of nothing at Man United

I hope the club give him the deal he deserves then

I would say hes the only one who can do it frequently.

Rooney, Young, Valencia are all great at what they do, but they simply dont have the flair or technical ability to produce magic like Nani can

Oops, laptop acting funny.
Thankfully I had copied the comment.

With regards to the comments regarding to football not being limited to Spain and England, could he be talking about Juventus? He has been linked to them in the past, and the they do seem to be in a pesky habit of going after our players in recent months (Pogba anyone?)

I would hate to see Nani leave though, I think he's one of the few players at the club who have that magic about them, match-winners if you may. Even if they're having a bad game they can produce a pass or a shot that can win a game. Plus I think if he avoids injury next season he'll establish himself as one of the top wingers in the world (though some do consider him one already).

i don't care how good valencia is. play nani on the right and keep him on the right

So not only can we no longer attract top players to our club, we now seem unable to keep our existing top players

Having said that, I hoenstly feel Nani is just doing a Rooney. Like he said, United offered him a contract, he's negotiated and asked for more, and is now waiting for the club to reply. By saying these comments, he's just trying to pressure the club

Of course, I could be wrong and he coud be heading to Juventus to team up with Pogba

pogba is silly though as he is unproven and should learn from SAF

Another top player may leave the prem.

Problem with Pogba staying for Fergie is this, Fergie is going to retire in a couople of years. He wont be around to watch Pogba grow so that shouldnt come into his thinking

If Juve can gurnatee him 1st team football, then I understand 100% why he wants to leave

I think there is much being made about nothing here, contract negotiations happen all the time. Can't see United letting him go.

Could be true would explain why where reportedly interested in Gaiten, maybe its counter psychology

Can't really undetstand why valencia is chosen over Nani. Valencia is very predictable, every time he cuts in you know he is gonna do some lame sideways or backeards passing as he can't cross with left foot. Nani is a joy to watch and comes up with a fair number of goals and assists. He has been amogst the top in PL as a winger for last few seasons. Its absolutely vital we keep him.

One of the last, if not THE last entertainer at our club. For Portugal, he's played well through the middle in an attacking role.

Could never understand why saf never really tried him out in that central position at a time when we've been screaming out precisely for that type of a player.

Letting him leave without a good honest fight would be simply ... madness!

Wow. Big mistake if you let him go. Criminally underrated. Gets unfairly criticised for a few bad games while the white Pele's form goes under the radar.

I love watching Nani. Not on Ronaldo's level but the next best thing.

He does have a lot of bad games though. And i don't see how he can expect to earn more than the 130000 we have supposedly offered, based on his displays. If he wants more money, he should earn it.

Merrysupersteve;

Where did you get this 130k offer from?

posted on 2/6/12

It's what has been reported in the papers. Yes i know it is just the media. I am in a pretty bad mood this morning so please let's not tread down this path that happens every time someone mentions a figure on this forum. It's monotonous.

This will be a travesty if he leaves. He is criminally underrated amongs our fans for Christ sake.

Yes, Valencia seems to be a SAF favourite - often to the detriment of Nani.

If it's 130 k he needs? Well i say he deserves it tbf. If we are going to go spend the money we receive for him on someone else and then the wages, it is ridiculous.

If we could sign Jones, a teenager for 17 million and pay him 70 k a week. And offer Pogba - yes unproven, but why not give him the chance?- less than 20 k, it is shocking really.

Anyhow, hope this is all paper talk and he puts pen to paper.

Merrry, don't take it the wrong way. I questioned the figure stated as you based your thread on it. If there's any truth to it then Nani could well walk as i don't saf paying much more than that! Hazard (as far as the red rags were reporting) is only on 100k!
