I wouldn't mind even moonballing and this retrieving lung busting stamina game had it been rewarding only on slow clay. But the things that I dislike is all the surfaces have been made to assist that kind of play. Its now a drag..

Look at the silent crowd in the center court. All the cheering are coming for Almagro for whatever little he is doing. If a player had beautiful game, risk taking flatter shots, great volleying, the kind that always has an amazement factor. How drag this looks when percentage play.. over and over, moonballing till an error occures. This become a drag after a while. How many points can people awe for that kind of game...

Watching moon balling is like watching old ladies tennis at your local club.

Raider despite reading your recent comments I can't understand moonballing?

I remember lunar eclipse or looking at moon when I read the word moonballing!

I can't filter out anyone to prevent someone from posting. Those are enabled by the admins, and only if I delete a post from that user. I didn't delete any posts. And If the admins have done it, its their wish. You can send your message asking why they had to do it.

Anyways, why are you so much missing him. Is it that you can't post anything till pizza lover is allowed to post here? strange..

Totally agree with that. Look at Almagro, not the most charismatic players but the crowd is fed up to see this 1D game winning thanks to magic potions. The French know their tennis but this is something you observe on almost every centre courts. As much as they like Nadal, they often end up supporting someone looking like a KGB admin (Davydenko).

Watching Nadal v ALmagro is a bit sad cause you know the more talented will run out of steam. The only question is how quickly!

And teh very factor in those matches is that make the game play with the 20s rule and Nadal would not be able to retrieve as much and may well be losing this match.

I can feel for Almagro. He does not lack the punch but failing to deliver when it matters most. It is done and dusted for him. Rafa survives to give another mundane display.

Murray under pressure, will have to keep his nerve to stay in this set.

Wonder if he will take anything off that first serve now?

All the greats except Borg never did well on RG. Only specialist won on clay like Muster, Burguera, Moya, Kuerten, Chang and Courier etc. All other greats Edberg, Becker, Agassi, Sampras remained anonymous on that red clay. Then came a pathetic moonballer who got aided by ATP's stupidity of making courts same and now tennis watchers suffer. This is the tennis at its worst.

Is Ferrer the most nondescript player on tour?

Looks like a mouse, walks like a civil servant and no weapon in his armoury.

Who are you backing up here Jonty? Ferrer or Murray? it's not clear reading you.

I want Murray to win, I think he'll edge it.

When I say I think he'll edge it what I mean is:

I think he'll edge it if he can focus and stop beating himself up on court!

I really would have fancied Murray to take Nadal out had he been injury free.

Murray will lose to Ferrer today in QFs!

Yes Murray is out cause his back prevents him to play his game. He is suffering now out there. He lost his service game trying to shorten the points instead of playing his patient game.

He will though. His back is really catching up. I know yuo don't believe in injuries but it's clear that the rain break did not do him any good.
