Adam johnson's a good shout although apparently he's got a attitude problem.

Boudabouz would be perfect, he plays down the right and cuts in, he can also take free kicks and wont cost a packet.

The media are talking about 7m for boudebouz, I'd take definately take him.

Nick powell was mentioned on koptalk, but Im not sure how reliable they are.

yeah I agree with you Winch master I think Adam if one o the more likely to go under 'Buck', to play in the way will require a combination of passing and re-cycling possestion and I think the new manager will be of the opinon there are better combinations of players for that end.

i think rodgers will respect the swansea agreement and we wont see any players coming from there. sigurdsson is a loan player so no such difficulty.
agree with the defoe thing but at 29 and unhappy at spurs, he will be relatively cheap. he also knows where the net is!

as for adam, if aquilani tells rodgers that he wants to give it another try (rodgers obviously rates him), then he is gone.

Really hope we go after the likes of belhanda. The whole rodgers system requires two players on either side of the pitch who are quick and able to beat a man. Downing CAN be the man for the left so we just need a right sider attacker now

Isnt belhanda more of a attacking midfielder?

--------------------- Reina -------------------
Johnson --- Skrtel ------ Agger --- Enrique
--------------------- Lucas --------------------
--------- Gerrard ----------- Sigurdsson ------
-- A Johnson --- Huntelaar --- Suarez -------

Subs, Doni, Kelly, Coates, Henderson, Bellamy, Downing & Carroll.

However I'd be happy for Luuk de Jong for Huntelaar,
Elia or Afellay for Adam Johnson.

To be honest whom ever comes in has to the team we don't want any trouble makers or big time charlie's, having either of these would be toxic for team spirits. More players with the attitude o Dirk Kuyt please.

I think gerrard is going to have to change his game a lot, his tendencies to try killer through balls wont be welcomed by rodgers.

Suarez is a bit of a controversial player, however he always tries his hardest.

posted on 6/6/12

Hope Sterling is more next season maybe as a 65 -70 min sub to terrorise teams when they are tired. Tht would still leave us 1- 2 RW/RM's short now Kuyt has moved on.

I think we should try to bring through suso more, he's excelent technically and I think would fit in with rodgers style.

posted on 6/6/12

Bellamy and Suarez may be fiery charcters on the pitch but I don't see affecting team spirit, I bet they are respected by their team mates.

Would Suso benefit from a short loan to a decent club to go up a level and find a level of constancy. This certainly helped other players like Sturridge.

posted on 6/6/12

Back four is sorted and with adequate back ups in all positions so we really are only looking at possibly one position in midfield and maybe two of the attacking three. This is could be reduced to 2 if suso is seen as a possibility
gerrard may even see himself starting to miss if aquilani can fit in this time around.

lucas
sigurdsson/hendo aquilani/gerrard

new winger/sterling downing/suso
suarez/carroll

We also have cole coming back and he could also do a job. certainly nowhere near as bad as it is made out

completely forgot bellamy aswell

I still think we need another striker to add to Suarez and Caroll, now Dirk has gone we have to be able to cope with injuries and have competion for places.

Short term deal for Klose ?

Get de jong

posted on 6/6/12

de jong would be good, defoe has been discussed any other suggestions ?

posted on 6/6/12

I'd rather take a risk on someone lik jordan rhodes, Defoe is quite old and seems to be in the media a lot.

posted on 6/6/12

Jordan Rhodes is a must as a back up striker.

Sturridge!!!!!

posted on 6/6/12

Sturridge is extremely selfish and wouldnt fit in to rodgers passing style.

This might seem a bit drastic but I would like to see:

Buy:

Sigurdsson
DM cover - Clasie?
Gaston Ramirez
Afellay (loan maybe)
Luuk De Jong

Sell:

Spearing
Adam
Aquilani (not based on ability, but he clearly wants out)
Maxi

With Kuyt already gone, that's players in and 5 players out, and we would have a much better squad.
