Top stuff! My lad is only 4 months old. He's got the home shirt already with his name on. His old man has suffered long enough so now it's his turn

UP THE OWLS!!!!

I know poor little sods , mind you since we are now on the verge of greatness (as we are MASSIVE already) its a good time for young'uns to be following us

Just as children are obliged by law to attend school from a certain age, I believe Sheffield children should be obliged to attend Sheffield Wednesday matches, at least until they're old enough to choose for themselves which stripes to wear. Being dragged off by family members to watch the blunts is a sure way of disappointing the lad with what is supposedly the world's greatest spectator sport. Give the lad a chance to appreciate the finer arts of the game at Hillsborough, rather than lose another potential football supporter to the likes of rugby. It'll only be for a few years till such time as the blunts are finally condemned to the Blue Square league or have gone bust altogether!

Would you also say that kids from Chesterfield should support their local team?

posted on 8/6/12

Local kids from Chesterfield have the right to support whom they choose to, like as in Sheffield, as long as its THE MASSIVE

I think you'll find that there's a higher IQ level in Chesterfield......

Evidently not...Smeg supports Wendies..and his dad supports Leeds...Sad really...

Like I said Fartacus, everyone has the freedom to support whomever they wish, we have such a diverse bunch of Football fans here in Chez, as well as the usual Man Utd glory hunters, there was a lad at school who supported Southampton, and even one of my old mates is a Juve fan....and one lad at school was a Dingle too, even though he is Chesterfield born n bred

Spart, have you got your ink pot and quill at the ready for June 18th so you can circle the only fixture at Jokewell where there will be a modicum of an atmosphere?

(Anxiously awaits cutting insults when electricity finally reaches Spart's dwelling).

Up the owls!!!!

Yes...Leeds on Boxing Day would be nice...

Why Spart? By that point you'll already have ousted that Lancastrian buffoon by November at the latest having not reached the giddy heights of fourth from bottom. And a drubbing from Colin and his boys will serve only to reinforce the inevitable.

You've predicted the "inevitable" every season for the last six, Jonah, in that time we've seen the "might" of teams such as Wednesday, Blunts and Leeds go down...

Oh..and Wendies record with managers is not particularly great...I'll have a cyber bet that Jones will be out before our Keef.

Spart, as far as next season goes then I'll see your cyber bet and raise you with this.

We will finish above you, I'm not going to make any ridiculous claims of a top 6 finish because I cannot see that happening. But finish above you we will.

The only reason you're still in this Division is because Portsmouth couldn't organise a lash up in a brewery, let alone their own finances.

Your Keef has a lot of work to do.

Jonah...The only reason you're in this division is because Ched Evans couldn't organise a brothel...

Davey boy couldn't get Cardiff promoted despite being given millions...With Mandy looking to sell, he's not going to get the funds to replace the loanees who got you promoted...the rest of your squad is very poor and will struggle big time in the Championship.

So you accept you're extremely lucky to be in this Division still then eh Spart?

I don't deny Evans' extra curricular activities had some bearing on that lot and what unfolded. Of course they did. But a team that picks up 32 points from their final 12 fixtures quite simply deserves to go up and I would say that of any team, not just us.

Let's have it right, Dave Jones is a far, far better manager than Keith Hill has ever been and in my opinion is ever likely to be.

He's sorting the side out from the back, our defence is decent but we need a bigger squad at this level. As for the loanees. It would have been great if we could keep them all but that was never going to happen.

An attacking midfielder to complement Semedo. A wide man and another forward and we'll be sorted.

Mandaric is looking to sell us? Really? I never knew that.

Another season of struggle for you lot Spart. But at leasr you're consistent eh.

Don't care if you're Barnsley or Barcelona...you can't lose half your side and not struggle...

We have been consistent over the last few seasons...consistently finishing above Wednesday...Oh and I assure you Mandy wants out...

Sparty, not for one minute am I suggesting that you don't have the ear of all the important figures of the beautiful game, and nor dare I imply you are not the oracle as far as footballing knowledge goes on here.

But, you are being just a touch lame in your attempts at expressing your football know how if you think you are delivering a groundbreaking bit of gossip by telling me or anyone else that Mandaric wishes to sell up.

Sorry to burst your bubble old bean, but he made it quite clear he was looking to sell us in the not too distant future even as he was taking over at the club the other year.

Well done on avoiding answering the question though Spart(not like you at all there) as to whether you lot are deserving of your place in this Division. Remember how you were willing to ram it down our throats if we stopped up at the expense of Palace the other season? What's good for one and all that eh.......

UP THE OWLS!!!!

We're in the Championship cos we've got the points and met the rules of the league...and your last sentence makes absolutely no sense at all..(nothing new)

Mandy is desperate to sell and is furious that the few remaining idiots prepared to buy a club are looking at Forest and Leeds cos they are seen as bigger clubs.
