The question is is how wet the balls were and how that condition affects the fluff overnight.
Tough one.
Well they will certainly not try to maintain the wetness of the ball just as yesterday.. that may not be possible I beleieve
Mmmmmm.....lot of dodgy things can go on there. It would be fairest to both players to start with new balls, incl the warm-up.
Djo had the momentum and possible would have won the 4th set. But now we start all over again.
I know.
the break certainly suited Nadal as I'm positive he would've lost had the match not been stopped yesterday.
One thing for sure is that even if the final has to be played after WW3, they woudl not start it again.
I think they will warm up with new balls...but it's weird if they are asked to play with yesterday's balls which will have dropped in pressure.....so even slower than they are!
They shouldn't have to play with yesterday's balls. Too much potential fiddling esp. as it's Nole on serve.
The conditions are affecting both the players in the same way. Whoever wins will deserve it. One thing sure is that Nadal is not invincible as the commentators and experts think. Even on tennis.com only one expert gave chance to djoker, they did the same thing at USO, AO and Wimby. When are they going to learn?
if nadal starts good then djoko hardly has any time to regroup but if djoko starts good then it will be interesting as he has tougher task on his hand with nadal sitting pretty with extra set in hand.
"Even on tennis.com only one expert gave chance to djoker, they did the same thing at USO, AO and Wimby. When are they going to learn?"
A lot of people who don't really love and understand the game give these pundits way too much respect.
Most of them don't even say what they really think as they are paid to talk.
Boris Becker is one of the very few who speaks his mind.
Too much fiddling has been going for years now. Champions are now "manufactured".
I'm losing interest in tennis. If they continue this circus, I don't think I'll be watching tennis after Fed retires. That will be real tough one to give up on something I loved for decades now.

Yep - Though I must say that what I find exciting to watch the one "they" don't want to win actually win.
Woudl be great if Nadal were to lose despite the FO doing everything they could to favour him.
I can picture Djoko lifting the trophy and the sponsors snatching it compulsively to hand it to Nadal!
Earlier I used to keep all my travel and holiday plans away from the important tennis weeks which included even the masters along with the slams. I still do, but I am losing inclination. Yesterday I went out for dinner while the FO final was going on, something a few years back I wouldn't have done at all.
Same here. It actually started with the Wimbledon 2010 final. What a bore!
"something a few years back I wouldn't have done at all."
No prizes for guessing why, I suppose
jahu posted a link where Novak's father complaining about oncourt coaching from Nadal camp. Everyone except the umpires can see it. It happens all the times, yet not a thing is done.
Yesterday they were showing some "Classic Wimbledon finals" on my TV. One of them was 2007 finals. A GS final without Nadal's tricks is incomplete. I had forgotten he took an MTO in the 4th set which he won. He and his team will do anything to win.
I love tennis, always loved it, always will.
Nole will always be the best in my heart, though
It wasn't Jahu, it was me
@It wasn't Jahu, it was me

Was it? Ah..
It goes though peaks and troughs - it was pretty average around 2000-2002 when Pete and Andre started to tire, with the likes of Hewitt (One of my least favourie player of all time) along with Roddick coming of age. I thought they were going to be the dominant players.
Safin's star shone brightly but briefly - a great character.
Feel sorry for Roddick, any other time and he'd have bagged a few more.
Thanks God for the Fed..Once he goes it will be up to the likes of DP and Nole to fly the flag for a bit. Rafa has got a few years left but I think he may start to go down hill from 28 onwards.
Then its over to the likes of Tomic and Raonic to step up.
Not sure if the last 10 years will be topped though I don't like the way the game is going TBH. Flair and artistry is dying and will largely be gone when Fed retires.
Hopefuly the power that be see this and do what is needed to bring back the variation back into the game.
Nole's father sounds drunk. NITB to be honest I do not think that the link was credible. No one has reported it other than a dubious website.
with the likes of Hewitt (One of my least favourie player of all time)

Couldn't agree with you more. Hewitt and Roddick, they both had such attitude probelm and that's why fed's arrival was welcomed with such a relief. Gladly Fed went on to become the greatest of all time
Mind you if Jahu posted the same link, I wouldn't've known as he's on my filtered list

you could be right, but it sounds very much like Nole's dad.
